My friend listens to AI Jazz playlists on Youtube.

I don't have much information to add to the discussion, but I picked a friend up from the airport. I was playing some Bill Evans and she remarked, "I love jazz! I listen to it when I work in the mornings," and of course I was excited and asked what she listened to. She directed me to a YouTube playlist and my heart sank. Just the most generic and bland music I've ever heard. The trumpet turned into a saxaphone.

I'm building her a playlist. She likes the "quiet" stuff, so I grabbed a bunch of Bill Evans and a few select Coltrane numbers.

It broke my heart but I hope I can steer her in the right direction. Anyone else have similar interactions?

Edit:

Thanks for all the recommendations! I'm excited to add them to this growing playlist. I hope to listen to it with my daughter as well, when she gets here.
