What's the Financial Aid Dept Like?
I'm a new student and am just curious about your experience with them. I've been told Fin Aid Departments across each college vary in terms of helpfulness, avoiding wrongful charges, and solving issues promptly

I'm planning to take a summer class but need to know if they're using financial aid from the 2026-2027 school year or 2025-2026. The office is taking forever to answer my calls for this past week which is why I'm posting here
I’m leaving a narcissistic household next month as a new student but I can’t afford a guarantor company. I’m trying to find a renter looking for roommates in my budget but I’m increasingly concerned. My financial aid will cover rent but I need a job ASAP once I leave too. Overall I need to know if CCNY helps students get off campus housing in emergencies?

When I was a college student I had 2 professors who made it clear through their behavior they were interested in me in a more unprofessional way. One was verbally abusive, which I caught onto buy the end of the year, but I believe the 2nd one was more sneaky.
To outsiders he was extremely kind, and students liked him. With me he made an effort to get to know me personally, which no other professor tried to do. It wasn't intrusive or probing, and the info I gave was regarding my racial and ethnic background, but since I was raised in a toxic family whose parents are into religious extremism, I had little to no life experience. I caught him gazing after me one day when I left class, and it was his body language in general that made me feel safe and loved. He never touched me or outright expressed his desire, attraction, or love, but the way he looked at me gave me that impression. I waited throughout the rest of my school years for him to say something but he never did. We briefly stayed in contact after I graduated but I was so angry and tired of waiting I immediately broke contact soon after.
I became depressed and went to therapy briefly (financial problems stopped me), she suggested I file a police report but don't feel like it would be taken seriously. I've been conflicted for so long and don't know if it was truly my imagination or if I read too much into his actions. I've avoided dating because of this and don't know how I'll move forward.
TL; DR: My professor's body language was confusing and read as if he was into me but he never said anything, which left me depressed and confused
