Hello, a family friend asked for help with their kids Xbox. It's a Series X that they bought brand new. They said it previously "would update something but only get to 65% and then freeze" and now when I tried it, there is not even a display signal - only a blank screen.

I tried to perform a factory reset using a USB and the downloadable config file but even that doesn't seem to work - i put the USB key in, held the eject / pair buttons and powered on the console but never got the two "beeps" to indicate it has found the file.

Is the console completely borked at this point? I read somewhere that the hard drive might be corrupted? Thanks in advance for any help.
