Finally finished! Really happy with how this one turned out.
348 decals later, along with panel line work, weathering, varnish, landing gear, canopy and the full weapons load, it’s finally on the shelf.
I used Kaleido Acrylics throughout the build, with the Gaahleri Möbius and Aventus V2 for the airbrushing.
A proper enjoyable build, even if those decals felt endless! 😂
What do you think of the finished result?
Hellfires and rocket pods are fitted, the main camouflage is complete, and the Apache is finally taking on that unmistakable operational look.
The main paintwork was airbrushed using the Gaahleri Aventus 0.4, with the colour mix created using the Kaleido Labs app. Next up is weathering, exhaust staining, dust effects and all the little details that bring a hard-worked Army Air Corps machine to life.
Gloss is down on the Mustang.
Used Kaleido Varnish with retarder thinner, roughly 2 drops per 5ml, then added one extra drop for the final pass to help it level out. Really happy with how the purple and black have come together; it’s got that deep gloss without drowning the body lines.

Painted the interior with the some of the new Matt line from @gaahleri_official with a mix of airbrush and brush painting.
