My second painted kit. I bought this kit in Surugaya during my trip to Japan. I picked it up on accident thinking it was the Proto Zero for really cheap (don't judge me I'm relatively new to gunpla and the Wing lineage is only just starting to make sense). After realizing my mistake I decided this would be perfect to practice some modeling techniques on and give it a good paint job.

I did rescribing, closed the seamline on the head, tightened up some joints and tried highlighting/preshading. I wanted to go for a pastel color look along with introducing some of that signature Katoki purple as the shading under the white. I absolutely love the final product. Just wish the arms weren't so janky and I could get some more poses, but just touching it causes the arms to fall off.

Did the entire thing using Gaahleri Kaleido colorworks, airbrushes and varnishes.

My only problem is I don't see the skin tone set I actually wanted.

Hi everyone, this is my first airbrush setup and I'm running into an issue. I just got a Gaahleri Turbox Mini.

​The air hose screws onto the airbrush gun perfectly fine on both ends. However, when I try to attach it to the compressor's air outlet, it goes on smoothly for about 1-2 turns and then gets completely stuck. I don't want to force it and strip the brass threads. Because it's not screwed on all the way, the air pressure leaks immediately.

​Am I doing something wrong, am I missing an adapter, or could this be a defective/poorly machined thread on the compressor side? I attached a picture showing exactly how far it goes before seizing up. Any advice for a beginner would be greatly appreciated!

Edit:While I was away, my girlfriend fixed it. She just simply put it on and attached it, and it's been running smoothly ever since. The thread was probably just a bit burred, and I was afraid [to force it], but she wasn't.

I placed an order a couple of weeks ago and it's been sitting in "Confirmed" status ever since. Is this normal? I purchased the Swallowtail when it came out a and it shipped in less than a week. Should I ask for a refund?

Finally finished my Revell 1/144 Lufthansa A340-300 after around 3 months of work!

I used quite a bit of Gaahleri gear throughout this build, so I thought it would be worth sharing here. The GHAD-39 did most of the general airbrushing and larger coverage work, while the Mobius 0.2 was really useful whenever I wanted a bit more control for the finer areas and smaller paintwork.

For the primer I used the Kaleido white and black primers mixed together to make my own grey. I was really impressed with how it behaved. It went down very smoothly, dried nice and tough, and gave me a really good surface to work over for the rest of the paint.

I also used their acrylic gloss clear towards the end of the build and it left a really nice smooth, glossy finish, which worked especially well for an airliner like this.

The kit itself definitely fought me in a few places with the fit, seams and paintwork, but I’m really happy with how it all came together in the end. Hope you guys like it!
