For those working from coffee shops on weekdays - what time do you usually arrive to get a table?

Yesterday I felt like escaping the house to work somewhere else since I’ve been cooped up inside with the heat these past few days.

I ventured out around 1pm, and it took three coffee shops before I found any open tables. I tried Aura, then Roggenart, then ended up at Owen’s, where I couldn’t even concentrate and decided I’d rather just work from home lol.

For those of you working from coffee shops regularly, what time do you usually get there to snag a table?

Sofdra - wtf is up with these side effects?

I took Sofdra for the first time over the weekend and never expected the side effects to be as bad as they were.

Within hours of putting the gel on my underarms, I woke up with an intense burning sensation and red rash marks under my arms, urine retention, extreme fatigue, headaches, a horribly dry mouth and throat, and blurred vision that made it impossible to read anything in front of me.

Not gonna lie, this was scary. I expected it to wear off after a few hours but these side effects carried on for almost 2 days.

I spend most of day 1 in bed because I felt too awful and weak to do anything.

On day 2, I woke up with better vision but had to adjust the text size to the largest setting on my phone to even read the screen. I was fatigued and had massive migraines from being outside in the sunlight during the day. My dry mouth was better though.

The urine retention subsided by the afternoon on day 2 (about 36 hours after first applying Sofdra). I also lost any urge to go #2, which didn’t come back until sometime in the evening on day 2, almost 48 hours since I last went.

I’m currently on day 3 and feeling much better besides my vision not being 100%. My eyes feel dilated and tired when looking at screens. It almost feels like I’m slightly high or loopy.

I’m mainly sharing this to alert others about these side effects. Unfortunately, my dermatologist never mentioned any of these possible side effects, so I was definitely in panic mode. However, thanks to this sub, I remembered a few others had posted about this in the past.

I’m glad the prescription delivery ended up being delayed until Friday, so I had the weekend to recover. There’s no way I could’ve gone to work if I woke up like this on a weekday.

Curious if any others have had similar experiences with Sofdra and, if so, did you continue taking it? At this point, I’m afraid to take it again because I’ve never had side effects like this from a medication before.
