Combi Boiler - Initally very hot water before settling

Wonder if anyone would be able to help. I have a Bosch Greenstar Boiler (GR8700iW 30C) and have noticed something and want to know if it's normal or if there's a way to fix it. When using hot water from a completely cold system, the hot water (on the display) goes to about 70-75 degrees (sometimes close to 80) and a slug of hot water comes up from the tap. The flame then turns off and output settles and stays at the set 50 degrees without any issues.

Is this normal for a combi boiler? For context it's almost 4 years old and I think our building has relatively low mains pressure. Appreciate if someone with more knowledge than I could help :-).

Old Toilet Leak?

I bought a flat about a year ago and the toilet was in the same state as pictured. It was completely dry and I have never seen this residue as anything other than completely dry since moving in. The toilet did have a dripping fill valve meaning the back of the inside of the bowl had a thick deposit of scale as the flat had sat empty for at least a year and I repaired this pretty quickly.

I'm curious, is this the result of a historical leak which occurred when there was a continuous trickle of water out of the u-bend due to the dripping fill valve or is it perhaps condensation (there are similar colour patched on the bottom of the cistern)? And do I need to worry about it?

Uber Boats (Thames Clippers) - Free Travel (Met)

Has anyone recently been on the Uber Boats in London recently?

I haven't been for about a year or two, but it was previously free on production of a warrant card off duty. I tried to use one recently and was told that free travel has stopped for the police. Sure enough their website now says "Police Officers may travel free on timetabled services providing they produce a Warrant Card. They must be in uniform and on duty, and produce their staff identification card." Which seems pointless as I can't see there ever being an operational need to take a boat whilst on duty. On the intranet it still lists it as free along with the Cable Car and then all the more 'normal' TfL services.

Night shift into BH

Having a massive argument on our team with management over what we're owed for working into a recent BH from our night shift.

In the past if I ever worked into a BH from a night shift, you got your 4+1 at double time and a BH day back. Now my current Sergeant is saying that is wrong as it's only casually working into the BH and as you weren't planned to do so and therefore you should only get the pay element but you don't get the BH day back. I think this is wrong but are any experts on this willing to chime in with anything I can use to push back (if I'm right...)? :-)
