Looking for an English-language color film, or possibly a miniseries aired all at once, seen on US TV in the early-mid 1990s. It was likely made 1960s–1980s. It was a historical Puritanish setting and a recurring theme of this isolated well. The villain is a Puritan authority figure (judge/witch hunter/magistrate) who becomes obsessed with the heroine and falsely accuses her of witchcraft so he can offer to save her if she'll submit to him. She refuses despite being subjected to various rigged tests and torture to "prove" She's a witch. A well is shown repeatedly throughout the film, I believe their first encounter was when she visited the well but I don't remember 100%. I remember the ending she finally escapes and is running from him when she falls into the well. The last shot was like her looking up and him covering the well. I don't remember any actual supernatural elements; but even if they were present they were subtle and the accused was absolutely innocent. Unfortunately it was 30+ years ago and I saw it late at night, literally the last thing before the station went off the air, so this is all I have.
Edit: It occurred to me that it might not have been a well, my brain may have filled that in. There was, essentially, just a big hole in the ground. It could have been a geologic feature or a mineshaft or something else, it might not have been specifically a well.
Edit 2: they also didn't have to be specifically Puritan. Just so long as it was a wotchfinder/inquisitor type person and a woman falsely accused. I just remember that along with the historical setting and a lot of black clothes and thought Puritan, but that style of dress was not exclusive for the setting's time period.
I was practicing drawing men and the reference (Wonho) reminded me of Valko so, voilà! I now have a headcanon that he'd be the type to take tons of thirst trap selfies. (labeled nsfw out of an abundance of caution but idk if it actually counts)
This was seen by my neighbor (from a distance), but I thought you all might enjoy this chonky specimen. It was reportedly about 4 feet long.
It disappeared while I was grabbing the cat, so I don't know if it got back out the way it came or if it's just hiding. Regardless, I want to know if it's safe to pick up and take outside if it comes back, or if I'll need a more robust relocation plan. I'm 90% sure it's nonvenomous but I'd like to be 100% sure please.
I don't follow them that closely, but I do like a bunch of their songs. I just noticed it's been a while since I've heard anything about Kwangya or saw their digital versions. I had heard they weren't doing that anymore, but I don't know what they *are* doing. I'm just curious, especially since their latest visuals seem to have an apocalypse theme.
Thanks!
