Double Feature weekend, for the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend!
Got a bit ahead of the curve, so I thought I would drop another battle report for everyone, this time playing around with Mirage's leadership in New Mutants. And who better to try it against, than Bastian and the Sentinels!
As always, in these cases, grateful for AMG providing early copies of the box
Since I have nothing new to paint, at the moment, I have decided to start taking some more, visually, interesting pictures of some of my models.
First Shatterpoint game in a few weeks. Was somewhat rusty, as a result, with a bit of sloppy play on my part, missing some triggers, and possibly making poorer decisions. But, we still made it to three struggles!
No matter how many models I paint for MCP, Daredevil remains one of my favourites to have painted up. Figured I should take a nice picture of him.
The Cosmic Motherload terrain piece is quickly becoming one of my favourite terrain pieces. The helmet of the Celestial, alone, is such a cool piece.
The colour shifts really helped give it a more otherworldly look, which I am quite pleased with
First battle report on the channel, after the character update! Excited to get some of these characters on the table, to see how they perform with the minor, to major, updates they received!
As part of getting back into the game, I got around to finally painting up the Fireteam: Phoenix. For whatever reason, I just felt inspired to model them after Delta Squad, from Star Wars.
In the end, I think they turned out rather nicely!
Finally getting around to trying out the revised Cassian, this week, with a classic pairing of PLC.
Alex wanted to try out the Obi/Baylan combo, and see how that translates from paper to play.
Hey all!
I dabbled with some Flashpoint a bit ago, just before the Banished box dropped. I want to get back into it, and play some more, but see there have been some changes to the game (and Chief's One Man Army, thankfully!).
Anyone have any suggestions on videos or blogs that do a solid job reintroducing the basic, current, mechanics of the game? Not looking to get gud right away, just want to make sure I can get a good foundation.
Cheers
(Pic just for attention)
I have been working on this, off and on, since the release of the big city terrain box. I found myself in possession of two of them, and added the existing buildings I had to the mix.
I have wanted to build a proper city block for a while, just for the aesthetics of it all, and am happy that I now can!
Going to break out the rattle cans, and start painting it up. Once done, I can move on to the next project, which will be a dockyard, complete with container ship.
Still plugging away with the Shatterpoint videos! The new changes have definitely excited us, to play with units we have always loved, but just did not feel up to par.
Troope and I decided to break out some models we do not use often, but keep talking about using, so that is how we ended up with Vision and Warmachine on the table. Also nice to finally be using the new scenarios, now that they have arrived for us.
Avenger on Avenger violence, this week, with the rarely seen Hulkbuster
I love when these shots pop up organically.
Baylan and Shin made the rounds in a game, played today. They are a lot more mobile than their cards read, at first glance. I am loving Shin, as well
The Servants of the Apocalypse take on the First of the Black Order, in this weeks video!
Sadly, the new crisis pack had not arrived, so we will have to wait another week before we get those on the channel. Also, we somehow completely forgot about the bonus VP from Samples.
Either way, it was fun to get Apoc back on the table, and it was neat seeing the First of the Black Order
Managed to finally get Baylan and Shin painted up, and on the table. Very excited to see how they will be shaking up the game, in the coming months
Finally catching up on some projects, and got enough paint on the Baylan box to get them table ready
The Immortal Hulk, and the Midnight Sons, take on Bastian, Nimrod, and the Sentinels, this week!
The channel is also happy to welcome Jason, from Zetrox Wargaming, back as a guest!
This week, we begin exploring the recent character updates for Star Wars Shatterpoint. We start with General Veers and his Snow Troopers, and Queen Amidala and her Hand Maidens of Naboo!
Nimrod, and Bastian, have landed, and the fight for the future of Mutant kind is now!
This week, we are excited to get the new sentinels on the table, to take on the X-Men.
Hondo leads a band of scoundrels against Jyn Erso and the Spectres in this weeks Star Wars Shatterpoint battle report.
Here is hoping we see the character updates by the next video. Sadly, I will not have Baylin and Morgan, yet, by the time of filming.
