Finally done painting the base game enemies. For the second time...

Hero Quest was my first actual painting project 1.5 years ago. Unfortunately, I used the wrong primer, which caused all the figures to become ultra glossy and tacky. Basically, the whole paint job was ruined.

Years later, I decided to do it again with a fresh set of figures and a few of the old ones that I had stripped. And finally, I am done again!

I got tired of looking up rules, so I built something for 2nd Edition

I've played quite a bit of Massive Darkness and Bloodborne: The Board Game, and lately I've been getting into Zombicide 2nd Edition. One thing that has always annoyed me is having to dig through the rulebook in the middle of a game. I tried using AI instead, but every now and then it would confidently give me an answer that, in hindsight, was completely wrong.

At some point I started wondering if I could build something that does this more reliably. The idea is quite different from just giving an AI the rulebook and asking it questions. I've tried to actually model how the rules of the game work, so it can look at the situation you describe, apply the relevant rules and tell you what happens.

It's at a point now where it handles quite a lot, including questions where several rules interact. But it's definitely still a beta, and for now it only covers the core game. There are other gaps. For example, it doesn't yet know every equipment or spawn card, and I'm sure there are situations I haven't thought of.

That's actually why I'm posting it here. I've tested it pretty extensively myself, but that's very different from having players ask questions in ways I didn't anticipate.

If anyone feels like trying it, I'd be really interested to see how it handles your questions, whether they're everyday rules questions or weird edge cases:

https://tableruling.com/

There's no account or ads, and no tracking of what you do on the site. Questions aren't stored unless you flag an answer as wrong and choose to share it so I can figure out what happened.

If you manage to break it, please let me know. That's genuinely useful at this stage. If this approach works well and proves scalable, I'd like to fill the gaps and add the Zombicide expansions next.

The fishtank is full

Just wrapped up the trio of Abominations. Wanted to give each model its own distinct color scheme and vibe.

Painted using acrylics, enamel washes, and UHU glue + gloss varnish for the drool.

Grimdark Abdomination

I am trying to create something disgusting. Pretty happy with the result so far. Not sure about the base yet though.

Grimdark Dread Knights (Finished)

Tried something different with these Dread Knights and painted them as living, semi-organic suits of armor. 🧟‍♂️

Grimdark Dread Knight

I leaned into an organic, corrupted look where flesh and metal seem to merge together."
