Please enlighten me on what is good about this game
This is not ragebait. I am genuinely looking for a reason to get into it.
I bought the game on offer on the PS Store because I am big into war games particularly WW1 and 2. I have played for 5 minutes and can safely say I would be happy to accept that I have wasted £10 and forget about it all together. Can those who are into the game help with my current issues as I simply don't get how this is supposed to be enjoyable whatsoever.
I spawn into a game in a full squad. There is absolutely no communication whatsoever, from ANYONE. No commander giving instructions, no squad call outs, not even in game situational NPC dialogue you load in and it is total silence bar a few gunshots. What is my objective, where are the enemies, what am I supposed to be doing? What does being in a squad matter if I have no interaction with them.
The visuals are utter dogshit. The frame rate, the movement mechanics, it feels like I am playing a PS2 game. I get this isn't as important when the gameplay is redeeming but in my current situation where I don't really get the gameplay or what is supposed to be good about it, this is not ignorable
There is a whole ass map for me to spawn in, with 6 or 7 garrison spawns. The enemies appear to be limited to a tiny fraction of the north border of the map, highlighted in red on the map in the spawn menu. This makes all but 1 or 2 spawns entirely pointless and puts you into a 5 minute running simulator to get to a busy area. No vehicles marked anywhere from what I can see. When you try to get into it, you are given a 10 second timer to return back to your side of the map. Is this just 2 teams in stationary positions, no flanking? Does map territory change during matches if one team is pushing forward for example, is this even possible?
THE MOST IMPORTANT ONE - The HUD is fucking AWFUL. The text sizes are an absolute disgrace. I have perfect vision and even I am struggling to read any of the size 6 font in Hints, menus or on the map. This is the one that is putting me off the most, is there a way to change the writing size in options? I can't make heads nor tails of anything being displayed for me. Perhaps if this was fixed it would help a lot of my other issues.
Like I said, not trying to ragebait, remember that I have only just bought the game, but like I said the first 5 minutes have been so unpleasantly tedious that I need to see some reason to continue persevering with this game, if you can help me with these issues I'd be grateful!
