Your Business Doesn’t Need AI. You Just Fell for the Hype.
I've been in the market for a long time, and I've watched countless videos, posts, podcasts, reels, and other content around AI and automation.
And honestly, there's one thing I keep noticing:
Everyone is trying to ride the hype.
"Your business needs AI."
"You need to automate everything."
"AI is going to change your business."
But here's the thing:
You don't need AI or automation just because everyone on the internet is talking about it.
Let me help you with it, and you will be able to judge yourself that do you or your business really need it or not.
101s of automation need:
- Your team repeatedly does the same manual task every day (boring and time consuming)
- Employees spend hours copying information between tools (pain at the tips of finger)
- You're answering the same customer questions over and over (pain in the butt)
- Leads are coming in but follow-ups are inconsistent (pain in boss's head in this case you)
- Manually creating reports, summaries, proposals, or documents (Yawn 🥱)
- Monitoring things email, summaries, proposal, and what not (pain in the eyes)
- You have a process that is basically "when X happens, do A → B → C" (you better automate this to save time)
Those are much better signals
If a task is repetitive, predictable, rule-based, and eating up your team's time, that's where automation starts making sense.
Now the AI part, to be honest only use when you really need to use it, don't believe someone on internet, because they say "That your business needs AI"
101s of AI need:
- Only use AI as an addons into your business or product, where you need to analyse, decide, act on it, need a second brain, generate content fast, need to answer repetitive question.
- Analyze large amounts of information
- Make decisions based on data or context
- Generate content quickly
- Summarize information
- Answer repetitive questions
- Extract information from documents
- Act as a "second brain" for your team
- Handle tasks that require understanding language, context, or unstructured data
That's when AI starts making sense.
Otherwise, a simple automation, a better process, or even doing the task manually might be the better solution.
Don't be AI first, be business first.
And before automating something "Fix your damn flow".
If your existing process is messy, inefficient, or unclear, automating it will probably just help you do the wrong thing faster, because to automate something, you must know what and how to automate something in first place.
The order should be:
Fix your existing flow -> automate it -> Integrate AI where it actually adds value.
If you have a process in your business that feels repetitive, painful, slow, or unnecessarily manual, feel free to contact me.
Happy to discuss where automation could actually make sense, identify gaps in your workflow, and figure out whether you need automation, AI, or neither.
