How do I actually understand Yone itemization instead of blindly following builds?

I feel like I’m not really understanding how I’m supposed to build Yone, and I’d appreciate some help.

I’ve always read that the standard build is BORK → Immortal Shieldbow → IE, and then you adapt from there, but I’d like to actually understand why you build each item and when you should deviate from that, instead of just following a build blindly and trolling my games.

Mechanically I don’t think I’m that bad, but I feel like I lose quite a few games because my itemization is terrible and I end up building random stuff that doesn’t make sense for the enemy comp.

I’d also like to understand defensive boots better. Are there mid matchups or team comps where it’s worth going Plated Steelcaps or Mercs early, and then getting the attack speed you lose from Berserker’s Greaves somewhere else?

If anyone could help me understand Yone’s itemization and give me some clarity on how to actually think about builds from game to game, I’d really appreciate it.

How do you make a Hub/Home note that actually looks good and isn't just a list of links?

I'm currently rebuilding my Obsidian vault from scratch and I'm trying to create a central Hub/Home note.

The problem is that everything I try ends up looking like the screenshot: basically just an index with a bunch of links.

It works, but it doesn't really feel like a hub. I want something that I can open as the main entry point to my vault and that gives me a clear overview of my knowledge without turning into a massive, ugly list.

Ideally, I'd like it to help me navigate between:

  • Main areas (Technology, Life, General Knowledge, etc.)
  • Learning paths (C, Python, Networking, Systems...)
  • Books and papers I'm currently reading/studying
  • Maybe recent or active notes/projects

I'm not necessarily looking for something extremely fancy or full of plugins. I'm more interested in good structure, visual hierarchy and navigation.

For those of you who use a central Hub / Home / MOC:

What does yours look like? How do you structure it so it's actually useful and pleasant to use?

Screenshots/examples would be especially appreciated.

The screenshot is my current attempt. As you can see, right now it's basically just an index, and I really don't like it.

Can my PC run EU5 comfortably?

Hi everyone,

I'm a long-time EU4 player with almost 2,000 hours and I'm really excited to play EU5. However, I'm not sure whether my PC will be able to handle it properly.

My specs are:

  • Ryzen 5 2600
  • GTX 1650 4GB
  • 16GB RAM
  • SSD

I know I'm below the official minimum requirements, but I'd like to hear from people who have actually played the game.

If you have similar specs:

  • How is the performance in the early game?
  • How bad does it get in the late game?
  • What settings are you using?
  • Is it still enjoyable, or should I wait until I upgrade my PC?

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks!

About Yone build

Does Yone have a build core right now? I've seen that berserkers aren't as interesting anymore and that mercs/tabis are much better.

What is PD + MERCS/TABIS + IE like?
