Pre med interested in healthcare law

Hi everyone I’m a recent pre med grad. After doing a lot of reflecting I don’t believe the medical field is a place for me. Insurance companies dominate the field and after years of training the entire process of becoming a doctor doesn’t seem worth it anymore.

A college advisor recommended I check out healthcare law since I minored in political science. It seems really interesting and am wondering if it’s a path I can go down.

I have a 3.81 GPA, but no relevant work experience to law, mainly hospital volunteering and medical assistant experience. Should I try to get some entry level legal adjacent job? Would schools look down on my app if it looks like I got scared of med school and turned to law?

Is Zoloft or Paxil a better ssri to start with?

I have intense OCD, social anxiety and mild depression and have been doing a lot of research on what ssris would be a good fit for me. My psychiatrist said she would like to start me on Zoloft or Paxil but it’s up to me to choose. Does anyone have experience with both? Is it recommended to start on Zoloft before Paxil or vice versa?

Starting Zoloft

Hi everyone I’m starting Zoloft tomorrow and am pretty nervous. I’m looking for inspiration of any sort and good stories with Zoloft. Especially if you are a guy or know of any male celebrities/ influencers that have talked about taken ssris I would love to know.

Torsades?

Is bradycardia a risk factor for torsades in a healthy young person? For example if they have heart rate drop to 36 at night, they have QTc of 450, want to start Zoloft, is this person at risk of torsades de pointes?

Zoloft and QT interval

23, Male. I’m considering starting Zoloft (or maybe another ssri) for OCD and anxiety I have dealt with most of my life. I have pretty intense health anxiety and when I learned ssris can increase QT interval, potentially leading to cardiac problems, it really worried me.

I had an ECG done last year, because I had an Afib notification on my Apple Watch. The ECG was normal but I noticed I had a 434QTc interval. I also had a holter monitor done to reassure me about the afib notification and that said my QTc was 430.

Considering ssris can potentially increase the QT interval, from what seems like an already kind of heightened level, is this worth discussing with my psychiatrist or PCP? Nobody has brought it up before. Am I just in my head about this? I am otherwise a healthy and active person
