Dealer says it’s ABS module but I’m skeptical

Hi everyone I hope you are all having a good day. I was looking for some input on issues I’ve been having with my 2013 3.5l recently.

About a month ago I noticed that once in a while (maybe once every other week) it would hesitant when I was trying to accelerate. Almost as if it was going into limp mode, I could press the gas pedal completely to the floor and there would be no response. Just would slow down. This didn’t happen at specific speeds/gears and it was very intermittent. The only way to get the car moving again was to take my foot off the pedal and put it back on, then it would drive normally for a bit.

Started happening more often, and my wrench light/icon came on. I brought it to a Ford dealer and they said it was the brake pedal switch (in their words, it was misaligned and was sending incorrect signals to the computer).

It drove fine for a couple days after they replaced it, but then the issue came back. It’s weird because that day I had driven it for almost 2 hours completely fine, then out of nowhere I started losing power again, worse than before.

After their second look at it they said the ABS module is having an electronic failure.

It’s a expensive repair, so I picked it back up from them. Drove perfectly fine on the ~15 mile ride home. Not to say I don’t think there’s something wrong, but it seems very intermittent.

I was curious if anyone has had this problem before and what the answer ended up being. If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate it tons.

New brake light switch installed on 2013 Ford Edge not working

My 2013 Edge has been having some issues with the lights not working and the shifter being difficult to get out of park, also have code C0040-64 for “brake pedal switch A”. I decided to try to replace the brake light switch as it seemed it could fix the problem, but I must’ve messed something up. Now my car won’t even shift out of park, and the brake lights don’t illuminate. Obviously it’s not making the contact it needs to but I don’t know what to do.

I’ve dug through every forum and YouTube video trying to figure it out, but it seems like I’ve done everything properly. Does anyone know if you need to adjust a new brake light switch? Or has anyone had any issue with installing a new one? Thanks in advance for any information.

Your experiences with switching from pump to MDI/injections

Hi Everyone!

I’ve had diabetes for a while, almost 20 years, and was fortunate to get on a pump pretty early on into my diagnosis. For the majority of that time I’ve been pretty happy with it, but the past few years my lifestyle has become a lot more active and I feel constricted. I use the tandem T slim. I hate always having it attached to me, it feels like I can never fully move without worrying about it. I’m sick of sweating off pump sites, dealing with site failures, making sure it’s always charged, and worrying about battery/pump failures.

I do use the Dexcom G7 and am fairy happy with it and will continue to use it. I’ve considered the Omnipod as it’s tubeless, but really I just can’t stand having another thing attached to me. The Dexcom is already a lot sometimes, but not nearly as bad.

I’ve done MDI for short periods of time here and there, but never for more than a few days. Wondering if any of you have any insight into switching from pumps to MDI. Curious how the transition was, and whether you find it more “freeing” than being on a pump. Any thoughts or advice is very appreciated!
