For those confused I’m referring to the leaked footage of Doom raising the sentinels outside the X Mansion while all the Avengers are surrounded by them. Part of the scene is also in the New Look we got at D23.

Pretty much every reliable leaker has stated this plot leak to be true, for the most part. I know reshoots will affect some of it. My question is where does the sentinel scene line up with this, if true? The X Men fight is stated to resolve with a solution to build cannons on each Earth. It can’t possibly be later on because Act 3 takes place on Latveria and we don’t see Doom until after they find out Loki’s heart was ripped out.

Either this script was heavily modified, because we see there’s some truth to it, so maybe reshoots changed it significantly… or someone with some plot leaks tried to piece the rest of it together and missed in a lot of aspects.

Note: there’s another plot leak I’ll link in the comments below that states Doom already won in Doomsday, and most of these event: are flash backs, nobody else has addressed this to be true or false on twitter so it’s more likely on the false side, but it lines up more with the trailers we’ve gotten and how hidden they’ve been with what they reveal. Let’s see…

What if the sequel for Obsession wasn’t a direct sequel, but a spin on the original story…

The start of the movie is the same as the original, except from Nikki’s POV more often than Bear’s… The key difference in this one: Bear gives Nikki the One Wish Willow as he intended to… the movie follows what Nikki would’ve wished for if she had the wish and the consequences… the wish doesn’t have to be about Bear or romance it could be anything that would stay within character.

I think Nikki telling Sarah she sees Bear as a younger brother wasn’t meant to tell us she didn’t have feelings for Bear. This moment is meant to parallel what happens later between Nikki & Sarah and show how they’re opposites.

Nikki is portrayed as a character who put others first i.e. paying for the tab, giving money to the homeless… so when Sarah went to Nikki and told her in confidence she has a crush on Bear, Nikki immediately shut down any possibility of her own feelings by telling Sarah she sees him as a little brother. Maybe it was true, maybe it wasn’t but the result of her saying this is the same: Nikki put Sarah’s feelings before hers and removed herself from the equation. She didn’t want to compete with her friend.

When Nikki and Bear get together, Sarah does the complete opposite. Instead of backing off because her friend is dating the man she has a crush on, she still tries to make a move on Bear, showing how selfish she is. Not only did she not check on her friends well being, she tried to steal her man because of her own feelings when the real Nikki put Sarah’s feelings first. Although Sarah could’ve felt some type of way about Nikki making a move on Bear after telling her she had no interest in him, it is still a weak move on Sarah’s end approach wise.

That’s why I think the parallel is intentional. Nikki was willing to suppress her feelings so Sarah could have a chance with Bear, while Sarah was willing to pursue Bear even when Nikki was already with him. The contrast makes Nikki look selfless and Sarah look selfish, and it makes the “little brother” scene feel more significant in hindsight.

Whether Nikki actually liked Bear at that point is up for debate, but the parallel between how Nikki treated Sarah’s feelings and how Sarah later treated Nikki’s is hard to ignore.
