Cutter’s Way Audio Issue?
UPDATE: For anyone who might run into this same issue…I determined it wasn’t an issue with the disc or player by plugging the UB820 into an old Dynex TV and the sound immediately worked. That meant it was a TV issue. I switched my LG TV to PCM instead of Bitstream and the sound suddenly worked. I’m not technical enough to know what that means yet, but at least I have it working for now.
Hoping this is just some stupid setup error on my part or something.
I just recently bought the Cutter’s Way 4K LE and the Messiah of Evil Blu from the B&N sale, my first two Radiance titles.
For some reason I’m not getting any audio from the master Cutter’s Way mono track. The commentary tracks seem to work fine, as does the isolated score track. I tried the Jeff Bridges 2022 intro version and I have perfect audio during the intro, but as soon as the movie starts I get silence. I tried the Blu-Ray disc and it’s doing the same exact thing.
I’m using a Panasonic DP-UB820. Is there some setting I don’t have checked or something? I’ve played hundreds of 4Ks and BRs with this setup and have never had this issue, including with the Messiah of Evil disc which works great. Is it possible both the 4K and BR discs are faulty, but only the master mono tracks? I’m at a loss.
