If you’re applying for the 27OTS01 and you’re AF active duty… what have you completed already and what is taking you the longest time to get done?

My commander is taking 2+ weeks now to sing the interview sheet which my medical group will accept to get me the medical clearance AF form 422. I prepared the memorandum for the background check for my commander over a week ago now and he still didn’t send it. I got with him today to go over the deadlines and he said “we still have time”… deadline to get the AFCEP request is October 30.

It’s all up to my leadership now to route the paperwork and I’m stressing about now meeting the deadlines.

I was told to list 94S in the AFSC preference list if I’m interested in commissioning into Space Force, but I can’t find 94S in the Officer Classification Directory. I was able to find 92S instead on the internet as for “newly commissioned officers” for Space Force. I’m AFAD.

Anyone has official guidance on this so my application won’t be ignored and not reviewed because I listed that code? The person that told me to list 94S was AFAD who applied for 26OTS03 and got selected for Space Force.

Interview with my squadron commander is soon. Do I need to bring him my AFOQT scores, college transcript, my PT score, etc.? Or he’ll just ask the interview questions from the form in the application packet? (I’ll ask him this when I see him, but wanted to have your experience).

I’m AD E-3 and don’t have experience with AF COOL certifications. Intelligence is my top pick and I’m thinking about getting the CompTIA Security+ (cyber security basics) which is also good for cyber (2nd place on job list).

Is this worth it? I want to compensate my average/low AFOQT scores with showing that I am willing to learn and develop myself. 3.89 GPA in Interdisciplinary studies.

I scored 17 on PCSM but was scoring 84, 89, 80, on TBAS study pro. The joystick and rudder pedals were cranky and I have 0 flight hours. Am I blaming the tools or should I blame myself? Answered all questions correct on the directional orientation part but multitasking was harder than practice one. AFOQT pilot score was 54 and I’m still curious for pilot/pra job but it’s not a childhood dream job. I’ll still apply for this upcoming OTS board with scores as they are, but should I retake? I will study and retake the AFOQT if I won’t be selected for non rated jobs in my list.

Can I list 13S Space Operations as an Active Duty member in the Air Force on the AFSC preference sheet? Majority of degrees needed are STEM for this job, but people with “any” degree are needed too.
If I get selected for 13S, will I transition to Space Force? If yes, at what point does the transition happen? Before OTS? Before Techschool? Before the first duty station?
