Creatine and insomnia/disrupted sleep. Sharing to have another anecdotal point on the record.

Added 2.5g creatine to my nightly stack (of magnesium threonate + l-theanine) about a week ago, and progressively my sleep quality has declined. I'm usually a sound sleeper from ~10:30-6:30 each night. Since starting creatine, I've been having crazy anxiety dreams, overheating, and my Apple Watch has logged a few outlier high respiratory rates. Also been sleeping very lightly/awakening too easily with usual neighborhood sounds. Spent an hour awake at 3AM for no reason last night. No illness, other disturbances, or other changes to my routine to note.

I understand that there is little research to support creatine interfering with sleep, but I know there have been quite a few anecdotal posts across Reddit and other forums on this. I'm going to stop taking creatine starting today, and then experiment with different timing to see if that makes a difference.

Really looks like a Scarlet Tanager to me, but they’re not supposed to be in Southern California?

Spotted this afternoon in a park in El Monte, CA. Sorry for potato photos, just had my iPhone on me. Seems too red to be a Western Tanager and the wings too black to be a Summer Tanager. But Scarlet Tanagers aren’t supposed to be found this far West?

proposed and he counter-proposed with the same ring!!

(for context, we are both guys)

organized the perfect proposal (just hired a photographer) for our anniversary at my favorite beach in the Big Sur area of California, and my perfect boyfriend pulled out the same ring in a different color gold 🥹🥹 we had ring shopped together and each had a small selection of designs we liked; and ta-da! We got each other the same one — the Marquis Diamond signet from Holden with a 1ct lab diamond. His is white gold, mine is yellow gold. Love is real! 👯💘
