Advice on doing otf regularly with a chronic fatigue issues

Not asking for medical advice - I’m currently working with my doctor to figure this out.

I need some advice with folks with chronic conditions and their strategy when they go to otf. I have hypothyroidism but I’ve been dealing with chronic unexplained fatigued for a number of years (waking up 8-9 hours and very fatigued in the morning so possible undiagnosed sleep disorder). Because of these I have a hard time getting to class. I will get motivation for class (which is rare) and have such bad fatigue that I late cancel a lot. I have 8x/month membership but rarely go so I feel like I’m wasting my membership by not using it. I also get bad headaches after class if I push too hard so it’s almost like post exercise symptoms. I’m postpartum (14 months) and was dealing with PPD. I know all these things would get better if I was working out regularly. Working with doctors to try to get this sorted out.

My question is that: how do I stop late cancelling? What is your strategy when you go? Do you stay in the green? I love the environment but it’s so hard for me to go and then I push too hard. I currently slowly jog.

Experience solving fatigue when thyroids are in good ranges, no sleep apnea and supplementing?

I’ve been having long term chronic fatigue since 2021-2022 when I discovered my hypothyroidism. I had went from Orangetheory 3x a week, in the best shape, sleeping well, etc to gaining 30 lbs, exercise intolerance, extensive fatigue, and ultimately subclinical hypothyroidism.

Fast forward, I’m still having chronic excessive fatigue. I sleep 8-9 hours and wake up not rested, so fatigued and no energy. I can’t work out because I’m so fatigue. I always thought it was my thyroid since it happened the same time as that diagnosis. I take levo every day, I take iron, vitamin d, b12. (Currently on iron and a megadose of Vitamin D). I’ve constantly taken this supplements and my levels seem to always fluctuate. My doctor says my ranges are good but I’m still exhausted. I even have a negative sleep study for sleep apnea.

Not asking for medical advice but has anyone had experience figuring out your fatigue when everything seems fine? It’s been YEARS but I’m tired of being exhausted. I have a toddler and I just want the energy to play with him. Getting another sleep test soon

Ferritin: 44 (currently taking this to get up)
Vitamin d: 46 (currently taking a megadose but haven’t noticed a difference)
B12: 367
TSH: 1.45 (previously 1.2)
Free t4: 1.5
Free t3 (previous test when TSH was 1.2): 3.5

PS - sorry to anyone that saw this get posted 5x. My Reddit app was acting up!

Sleep disorder/chronic fatigue + hypothyroidism?

Wondering if anyone has a sleep disorder or overall unexplained chronic fatigue PLUS your hypothyroidism? I’ve been dealing with extreme fatigue for years (since 2021/2022). It’s around the time I think my hypothyroidism came about - I gained 30 lbs, exercise intolerance, chronic fatigue, etc. classic hypo symptoms. It took me 2 years to officially get diagnosed and get on levo. But the fatigue is still here. I’ve checked my vitamins and take iron, vitamin d, b12, a multi. I’m actually on a megadose of vitamin d with no change. The biggest problem is that I sleep 8-9+ hours and wake up feeling not well rested. Everyday. With headaches and neck aches very often.

I’ve gotten a sleep apnea test around 2022 and it came back negative for sleep apnea. I was offered no explanation.

I always thought it was related to my thyroid because it started around the same time. At that time I was sleeping 10-12+ hours and couldn’t wake up in time for my work from home job that started at 9am. Now I have a toddler and it’s so impossible to wake up with him, drop him off at daycare and work a full day. I need naps all the time and I don’t have any energy. Just want to sit/nap on the couch. Even if I have enough energy to work out (which is basically never) the workout depleted my energy even more (and headaches afterwards too).

My new doctor mentioned chronic fatigue syndrome and possibly hypersomnia today. So going to a sleep doctor again to get tested.

My question is does anyone have a sleep disorder or chronic fatigue syndrome plus their hypothyroidism? I’m just looking for experiences and wondering if it’s just my thyroid or something else. (Not looking for medical advice).

Edit: latest labs below
TSH: 1.45
Free t4: 1.5
Tp antibodies: 1
Thyrogl, antibodies: <2
Vitamin d: 46 (taking a megadose of vitamin d currently)
Ferritin: 43 (taking iron currently)
HS CRP: 1.2
B12: 467
Folate: 10.6

So sick of being so fatigued

I have been consistently fatigued since 2021/2022. My new doctor brought up chronic fatigue today and I’m still looking for answers. I gained weight, started this extreme fatigue and exhaustion when I was got diagnosed with hypothyroidism but it look me years to medicated because doctors didn’t listen to me. I have been medicated and within “normal” range for years and I’m still so fatigue and I always believed it was my thyroid. I’ve gotten blood tests and sleep apnea tests and they were all normal.

I sleep 8-9 hours a day, still waking up exhausted. Years when I started I would sleep 12 hours and it would be almost impossible to get up for work. Now I have to get up with my toddler so I can’t sleep. I feel like a zombie. I don’t have the energy to play with him and I just sit/lay on the couch most of the time. I’ve tried all the supplements and nothing helps. I take vitamin d, iron, b12 and while those levels fluctuate, I’m just consistently fatigued. I’m currently taking iron, a megadose of vitamin d, b12, and a multivitamins. Working out makes it worse, and I get headaches after workouts if they were too intense. My legs also feel heavy sometimes so it makes it harder.

I wake up with headaches all the time. I just don’t feel rested even with those 8-9+ hours of sleep. Idk what to do. I’m going to a sleep doctor again but I have no disturbances last time. I have no answers. I just feel like a zombie and I want my life back. I’m not that old (late 30s) but feel older and exhausted. Just a rant i guess!

Low blood pressure anyone?

I currently am taking levo so diagnosed with hypothyroidism. Lately I’ve been getting lightheaded and shakey. I thought it was my Wellbutrin, then I stopped. It seemed to get better. The last couple days I’ve gotten borderline low blood pressure in the morning. I don’t have restful sleep and keep complaining of fatigue to my endo (no sleep apnea). I also have some exercise intolerance i believe. I seem to get headaches/feel sick if my heart rate gets too high. Just checked (due to headache and neck ache after a workout) and it was borderline low again. Wondering if this happened to anyone else? I thought high blood pressure was a symptom of hypothyroidism?

New to F45: not feeling like I’m getting enough time for each workout?

Not sure if it’s a me thing or this is just the nature of the workout. I did hammer the other week and was going to go again but I see it was hammer again. (I also did a couple other workouts but don’t remember the names and seemed very close in terms of the timing). I just don’t feel like 30-45 second is enough time for each exercise? After the workout I’m like don’t feel like I did enough? I only do strength classes and only a handful of total classes. I’m postpartum so I’m still getting my strength up and I’m coming from Orangetheory where there’s just 10 min and they say do x sets of these 5 workouts until time is called. Anyone have advice? My goal is fat loss! I also am trying to run 1-2x a week when not doing f45.

(PS I’m new to the workout so please don’t downvote me)

So I want to preface and say that I was a big barre girl back in the day (2015-2018 ish?). I did feel like it was good for my body as it wasn’t inflamed and I would leave in a great (calm) mood and felt pretty lean (not bloated?) afterwards. I’ve been doing Orangetheory for the last 5 or so years and I’ve come to the conclusion it’s not for me and my body. I feel constantly inflamed and it takes me days to recover. I know Pilates is and has been the rage for awhile. I tried a Club Pilates class and it was ok, but I found it boring (plus the clientele skewed older and it felt like it was pretty slow but that may just be Pilates). I also am not a fan of yoga.

I’m currently looking for a new workout to incorporate with running. Again, I’m coming from Orangetheory where I like the high energy classes but did enjoy barre back in the day. I would love to hear what you like about Pilates and maybe what it’s like? Was Club Pilates not a good example?

So I was an Orangetheory goer for a while, off and on. I am now 13 months postpartum. I didn’t work out during my pregnancy and have tried a couple Orangetheory classes here and there postpartum. Right now, I’m too out of shape for Orangetheory I think. I’m looking to try F45 (strength only) classes 1-2 days a week to get my strength up and walk/jog 1-2 on my own at home. With my toddler and working from home, the noon classes and 45 min timing seems beneficial to me.

My goals are around fat loss/pregnancy weight. My son is 24 lbs now and it’s getting a little hard to lift him too! Would love to get my strength up. Now I know nutrition (and deficit) are going to make h to make the biggest difference here, but does this sound like F45 is a good fit? Would 2 strength classes be enough? I’m worried about the intensity, can you make it lower intensity or add modifications with the coach? Would love to hear more about anyone’s experience especially postpartum or being out of shape coming in.
