Top Gun Bundles

I don’t mind the celebrity cameos when it’s done right, and I think this fits. Not mad at that at all.

What is crazy is splitting the unit into 2 bundles, charging full price, and adding 3 extra skins for Rooster and Bob to make it “justify” it. Which you can only use one at a time because all of these new Units are class locked.

I figured we’d get 2 versions, pilot helmet and no headgear at all, they paid for these actors after all. And hell I mean yay 3, but instead of maybe doing one that had some kind of genuine headgear, they said “make em black and show their face”.

Don’t get me wrong, the pilot helmets look sweet, but I’m not gonna run around in that. I prefer Bobs uniform, but they could’ve had some of the best skins with these.

Top gun bundles

If this is how they do celebrity cameos, okay. Top gun fits the game, they dolled up the characters and kept the military theme.

Splitting the unit up and giving Rooster and Bob 3 options to “justify” the price, though? What the hell

The helmet-less options I get because they got the actors, they want to show them off. The pilot helmets are cool don’t get me wrong, but not my thing to run around in. What the fuck is this third option tho? They had an opportunity to give them some proper head protection and they just said “make em black and show their face”.

I favor Bobs outfit, he looks pretty cool, but he would look cooler with a high cut. Rant over

EF88 Mastery Camo

Level 30 camo for the new EF88 is actually decent for a new camo.

I’m not a huge fan of the blocky design, but when you equip it to a gun with a coyote/tan base color, it looks weathered up. Makes me want weathering to be a feature.

More RUS Optic Variants

I’d really love to see more optic variants added to the game, even if some of them are functionally redundant.

A big part of how I play is honestly just immersion. It started as a way to force myself to branch out and use more weapons when the game launched, but over time I started building my different class loadouts around faction identity. When I’m playing NATO, I run weapons commonly associated with the U.S. and allied countries — M4, M16, SCAR, L110, etc. On PAX, I stick to Russian platforms like the RPK-74M, RPKM, AK-205, PP-19, and so on.

I’m a firearm guy, and one of the things I enjoy most in games is solid weapon customization. It touches that tism for putting together cool, authentic-looking builds. Functionality matters, of course, but let’s be honest — looking cool is half the fun.

I know low-powered optics seem to be the meta, and if that’s your playstyle, more power to you. Personally, I prefer a little magnification. There are plenty of optics in the game already, but there’s a noticeable lack of Russian-style options — especially compared to previous titles. That’s something I’d really like to see in BF6.

I was excited when magnifiers got added because I thought it’d be perfect to pair with the OSA-7 and finally have a semi-faithful AK build, but it and a lot of the optics sit extremely low on the rail. Pairing them with a magnifier makes the whole setup look awkward, with the optic sitting way below it (just add a riser BF Devs). It’s not an issue while ADS, but visually it just feels off.

I know this is mostly an aesthetic complaint, but aesthetics are part of the experience too. We’ve gotten two AK-platform weapons this season, and another Russian weapon is coming next season, surpised that we haven’t gotten any optics to go hand in hand with those. I just want my AKs to look the part.

Posted are some RU optics from BF4, example for the OSA-7 sitting low, as well as a couple of my AK builds. I build and use them like ARs, try it out!

Gun Skins on Weapon Packages (Blue Prints)

TLDR: I reaaaaaally wish we could put weapon skins on blueprints.

To preface, I enjoy tacticool shit. I like grounded cosmetics, whether that be operators or weapons, I enjoy things that aren’t flashy. I understand some people don’t share the same opinion and that’s 100% fine, play how you want to play and look cool doing it. This is just my 2 cents.

This want really started for me with the “Hunters Den” AK-205 from the Iron Claw bundle. Super cool blueprint that changes the look of the weapon to have Zenitco furniture and it’s my favorite look for AK-platform weapons IRL. Downside for me is that it’s flashy gold. It’s strange that we can put skins on blueprints, but it only changes for attachments that aren’t a part of that blueprint.

I would absolutely love to be able to get some of these unique weapon packages that change the model, but can’t get over it being super flashy. MW2019 (yes sorry another comparison to that game) did gunsmith amazingly well. Especially for gun nuts like me, you could change almost every aspect of what it looked like and also apply camos to cover up the blueprint design (I think, that’s what I remember anyways). Now I know we won’t get that level of customization, BF6 is pretty set in stone for what it’s going to be, but I would love to have the option to cover up some of these whacky camos. Again, my opinion.

Another thing which deserves its own discussion, it’d be cool to put camos on certain parts of a gun, like the lower, stock, hand guard, whatever and either mix and match camos or just base color with whatever camo you want. Again I’m into this shit. No it’s not a big deal but it’s something I like therefore worth it me to talk about. Also why they gotta be so clean lmfao.

Anyways, dumb topic but something I’d like to see. At the end of the day it’s video game NFTs lol. Gotta love cosmetics. Attached are some examples of weapon packages that change the model of the weapon, or attachments. Some aren’t my style and some are fine, just examples.

Whatcha think?
