First Armageddon Blood Angel

Finished my first Blood Angel from the new Armageddon box.

My goal with this project is to recreate the official box art as closely as I can and use it as an opportunity to practice the ‘Eavy Metal style.

Hopefully I can keep this quality across the whole squad.

My first Ork Boy from Armageddon box.

First Armageddon Ork Boy finished!

Trying a new blue and yellow colour scheme for this project. What do you think?

Wazdakka Gutsmek

I’ve always had a soft spot for Ork vehicles. In fact, Ork technology is what got me into the hobby in the first place. There’s just something special about the combination of brutal engineering, absurd creativity, and pure speed.

This project took me about a month to complete, and I enjoyed every minute of it. I absolutely love the sculpt—the pose is full of movement, the composition is dynamic from every angle, and it perfectly captures the reckless energy that makes Orks so much fun.

As far as Ork bikes go, I honestly think this is the best one Games Workshop has produced so far. It has everything: speed, attitude, dakka, and just the right amount of madness.

Wazdakka Gutsmek

With Wazdakka, I tried to recreate the box art. Looking at them side by side, I think I got pretty close 😅

Angels of Death Kill Team Finished

Finished my Angels of Death Kill Team!

I decided to go with the Iron Ravens colour scheme. The armour is mostly metallic with washes applied over it. I chose this scheme because I wanted something relatively quick so I could get them on the table and start playing.

Most of my effort went into the helmets and a few small details, as I felt those areas deserved a bit more attention and help bring the models to life. I also used this project to practice camouflage patterns on the capes and blending on the captain’s red cloak.

One thing I learned during this project is that painting heads while they’re attached to the bodies is much more challenging than I expected. I often couldn’t get the brush exactly where I wanted it, so the helmets didn’t turn out quite as crisp as I’d hoped.

Still, every project is a learning experience. For the Armageddon box, I’ll definitely be painting all the heads separately.

Wazdakka Gutsmek WIP

I’ve been working on Wazdakka Gutsmek for the last two weeks, and I’m finally at the stage where I can share some progress!

There’s still plenty left to do — the gretchin, the flames, and of course the base — but overall I’m really happy with how it’s turning out. It’s an incredible model with so many details and such an epic pose that it was a joy to paint.

I also added a small effect to the engine (check out pic 3). The idea was to show that Wazdakka is pushing his bike to the absolute limit!
