Does Charge 2/shipping show up as "merchandise" on credit card statements?

I'm about to pay for Charge 2 shipping for the first time and was wondering how it shows up on credit card statements.

I have a BoA card that gets 6% cashback on online purchases, but it also has a 3% foreign transaction fee. My Charge 1 purchases show up as "merchandise" on my statement, so I end up getting 3% back overall. If Charge 2 is categorized the same way, it'd actually be worth using that card. Otherwise, I'll probably use a different one...

If you've paid for Charge 2 with a credit card before, what did the charge show up as on your statement? And if you remember what card you used, that'd be helpful too!

Thanks! :)

U.S. customs questions: Is DDU cheaper for books/Blu-rays? Also, HS codes/descriptions for acrylic stands/keychains/badges?

Hey all! I'll be making my first shipment to the U.S. soon. I've been reading up on the customs/tariff stuff, but I'm still a little unsure about a few things, so I wanted to see what others here think...

I have 35 books, 3 magazines, 3 Blu-rays, plus a bunch of postcards, art prints, sticker sets, clear files, acrylic stands/keychains/badges, can badges, etc. in storage, and I'm thinking about dividing everything into two shipments.

Would it be cheaper to split the shipments by item type and send the books/Blu-rays/postcards via DDU (UPS/DHL)? From what I've read, media and paper goods are exempt from tariffs. But I previewed a shipment with just those items, and DDU was only a few thousand yen cheaper than DDP on Charge 2. Since I'd still have to pay duties/fees on delivery, I'm not sure it’s actually worth it. =/

Has anyone here in the U.S. shipped books/movies via DDU? Did you actually save much, or am I missing something?

Otherwise, I'd probably just split the shipments based on the warehouse storage dates instead of item type...

I'm also a little worried about the acrylic keychains and badges. I've seen some comments about customs asking for manufacturer info for keychains, and now I'm wondering if that could cause delays or other issues. I'd hate for the books/Blu-rays to get held up (or worse) just for being in the same shipment as some keychains/badges.

And if anyone here in the U.S. has gotten similar items through customs recently, I'd really appreciate knowing what HS codes/customs descriptions you used!

Thanks! <3
