injera & beyond

My fiancée and I went on a date night to a new spot we’ve been meaning to try and omg I’m so mad it took us this long to try it! Injera & Beyond on Whitestone is incredible, $45 for the plate for two we shared, and the salads were around $7 each (tomato salad was kinda spicy, lentil salad was very spicy). The staff there is so kind and was very helpful with making recommendations. We are obsessed w this place, give it a try if you know you like Ethiopian food or are open to trying new things.

Bonus, mostly everything is gluten free

I think I found my photographer but I need help!!!

Hi! I’ve been meeting with photographers who I’ve seen on social media and whose work I’ve admired. The hardest thing is, I’ve vibed with all of them as people. They’re all lovely, incredibly talented, and wonderful to meet and hear about their process. The reason I need help is because I feel RUDE, having met with one photographer who I really vibed with, had a great time getting to know her (she called us her DREAM COUPLE😭) and then met with another photographer (I put in all these inquiries prior to meeting anyone) who just feels more like the perfect fit (down to editing style, portfolio, and process). I feel horribly rude for meeting with these others and having great conversations and I can’t help but feel like I was wasting their time, even though I was genuinely just exploring my top options and who would be the best fit for my wedding. I need reassurance that I’m not an asshole for vibing so hard with this one photographer and then reaching out saying we found someone else

dresses I tried on + the one!!

would love some thoughts from strangers since I’ve beaten it to death with my girls, fiancées sister, & my mom lol. I found my dress! haven’t purchased it yet since my mom wasn’t at this one appointment (she’s been to a few others) and I want her to see it irl.
my runner up was sara seven maggie, but the day I went in was the last day to order so I don’t know if I liked it bc it was gonna be unavailable???? I prefer the drop waist to the natural waist that’s the only thing I couldn’t get past on my runner up.

with this dress (she’s gorgeous & fits the venue vibe since we’re getting married at a mansion), I want to have the top lowered a bit if possible and have the waist fully snatched for a dramatic drop since I think that looks so good. I loved the team at this bridal boutique and I found a really good alterations gal so I think we’re set! my fiancée also found her dress and while I haven’t seen it yet (& won’t till our wedding) I’ve been told we picked a very cohesive vibe between our dresses. I haven’t seen this dress on a model with my same body type or with a similar vibe for my wedding, and on socials I haven’t seen a ton of people wearing it so I’m going insane if it really is flattering and works or if I’m just delusional lollll

Edit: lol I LOVE y’all’s love for the cupcake. can’t remember the designer but when I go back to the boutique I’ll find out and let you girls know
