Side dish ideas

I am having friends over and planning on grilling skewers that I do often for me and my husband: pineapple, onion, and flank steak with a teriyaki-style marinade. When I make this for just us, I do white rice if anything, but we are hosting some people who are really good cooks. They usually make very fancy meals for us. Is there a side dish I should make? What goes with this? Quinoa, fancier rice? TIA

Fun V3

Ever since this was set, it’s been a popular project because of how tough/fun it is. I’m pretty proud of myself especially considering I ignored all the beta once I realized it wasn’t gonna work for me, did some awkward but effective moves, and sent it before any of my guy climber friends 💪🏼

(excuse the bad job blurring that guy’s face - I’m bad at technology but I tried 😭)

Dreading SD being home for the summer

I could write a whole long post about our history but the gist is that SD lived with us for all of high school. Things were rough and I regretted my marriage many times.

She’s been away at college for two years, and last summer she worked at a summer camp and was away most of the summer. So it’s been almost two years since she was with us for more than a week or two here and there for breaks, but is going to be living with us the entire summer. I’m really dreading it. Things are much better between us now that she’s in college, between her maturing and us not living together, but damn if I haven’t gotten spoiled living with just my husband. His and my relationship is the best it’s ever been, we are so incredibly happy, and I finally can relax in my own home.

I know things could be worse (trust me, they have been) but I’m not looking forward to this. Just needed to vent, thanks :)

The thing that made me laugh most in e6…

…was Kumail constantly getting the beanbags on Armando’s face in the live task. It was funny when it happened the first time after Armando was eliminated, but when it happened again after that I cackled. I was dying by the end. Anyone else?

▲ 970 r/nursing

I make about $2 million a year working 4 hours a week in a cushy WFH job, but I’ve always dreamed of being a nurse.

However, I have a blister on my foot. It doesn’t prevent me from doing physical activity in any way. I don’t even notice it anymore! I wanted to ask all you nurses out there: has anyone ever worked as a nurse with a blister? Will this prevent me from getting a job?

edit: some of y’all’s comments have been so much fun to read…thanks everyone ♥️
