I’ve been actively looking for a spouse and a user of SunnahMatch for about 8 months. I used to believe it was a safe space for practicing Muslims and students of knowledge.

However, in the past 2-3 months I’ve encountered several brothers who bring up intimacy in early chats, and even refuse to speak to my wali, not just once or twice.

Of course I understand every app has good and bad experiences. But I’m personally a bit disappointed bcs some brothers with very "polished" bios turned out to be nothing like that.

I also tried SalafiMatch very few to none spoke to my wali, mostly just matched then ghosted, and ZawajMatch tbh I don’t like the interface design and the concept

My experience with Muzz wasn’t great, but not bad either. So far they’ve at least been polite and kept things to the bare minimum.

Here on Reddit I’ve received almost hundred DMs (not as many as other sisters) and only one person was very serious, close to fitting my profile and values.
