[REQUEST] [Steam] Could someone please gift me Dying Light 2? (₹599 / ~$6.50 in my region)

Hi everyone!

I'd like to request Dying Light 2: Stay Human.

The first Dying Light became one of my all-time favorite games, but it didn't start that way. I couldn't even get past my first Volatile encounter. I got so frustrated that I uninstalled the game. Months later, I decided to give it one more chance, pushed through that section, and from then on I was completely hooked.

I ended up spending 50+ hours exploring Harran, parkouring across rooftops, surviving the nights, and it became one of those games I'll never forget.

Ever since then, I've wanted to experience Dying Light 2, but things have been a bit tough lately. I haven't been able to get anything during this Steam Summer Sale and was honestly thinking of skipping it altogether.

The game is currently ₹599 (around US$6.50) in my region, so I thought I'd take a chance and ask. If anyone is willing to help, I'd genuinely be incredibly grateful. If not, thank you for taking the time to read my post. I hope you have a wonderful day! 🙌

The Future of Smart Workspaces Might Actually Be Mine 🙌

Okay this genuinely looks INSANE 🙌

A 4K display with a 6-DOF robotic arm, posture tracking, gesture + voice controls, and touch-free Air Cursor interaction?? This literally feels like a sci-fi setup coming to life!

It’d honestly be super helpful for someone like me who actively games while also learning productivity work like editing and coding and also watches movies and tv shows. The adaptive movement and smart interaction features could make long sessions feel way more immersive and comfortable.

Would absolutely love to join the beta giveaway and experience this thing firsthand 🙏

Hey everyone, hope you all are doing well.

I think I’ve started to realize what kind of games I actually enjoy.

For a long time I was fine just exploring big open worlds and doing my own thing. I still like that, but lately it doesn’t hit the same if I’m not actually invested in what’s going on.

I recently finished the main story of Dying Light after about 40+ hours, and I’m still not done with it. The story is amazing, it starts to feel personal as it progresses. I’ve been using some mods after finishing the story to make the game feel a bit more action focused without losing the survival and tension, a little more like Resident Evil 4. That’s the kind of experience I’ve been looking for lately.

Even without mods, I loved how the game makes you feel vulnerable at first, and then slowly makes you stronger without ever making you feel overpowered. It keeps that tension and survival feeling alive the whole time, and I honestly think that balance is masterful. It really keeps you hooked and make you come back to it!

I really enjoyed Resident Evil 4 for that reason. It had that perfect mix of horror and action. You’re constantly moving forward, but there’s always that tension in the background, like something could go wrong at any moment. And the story was good enough to actually keep me invested in what was happening. The whole lore around Resident Evil and Umbrella has always been really interesting to me too.

That’s why this game stands out to me.

And Leon is a big part of that. He’s easily one of my favorite characters. The way he carries himself, the attitude, the one liners, it just works.

And honestly, Resident Evil Requiem feels like the cherry on top. You’ve got full survival horror with Grace, and then badass action with Leon. Unlike some previous titles where different characters still followed a pretty similar gameplay loop, this one actually feels different depending on who you play as. And I honestly love that idea.

I’ve seen some gameplay, previews, and a few reviews after launch, but I stopped myself from watching too much because I don’t want to spoil the experience for myself. Going back to Raccoon City also feels weirdly nostalgic. I only played RE2 and RE3 around two years ago when I first built my PC, but somehow it still feels like enough time to miss that world.

As for me, I’m from a small town in India. I’ve recently finished my bachelor’s and I’m currently preparing for my master’s while also trying to find a job. I teach a few kids, so I earn a little, but not enough to afford games like this. Most of the time during sales, I usually spend around 10-12 dollars to grab 8-9 heavily discounted indie, AA games instead.

And tomorrow's my birthday. I don’t really do much for it, it’s usually just a quiet day. But getting to spend that time playing something like this, getting the chance to play as Leon again, would honestly mean a lot.

I usually just wait for sales and pick things up slowly. This is my first time making a request here. I mostly enter giveaways, and some kind people have already helped me experience a few games I genuinely enjoyed.

If someone decides to gift it, I’ll start it right away and actually go through it properly. Any edition is completely fine, I’d be grateful either way.

Also writing this after a thunderstorm with no electricity, dead Wi-Fi, and terrible mobile network, so hopefully Reddit doesn’t decide to betray me halfway through posting it. Anyways, thanks for reading :)

I don’t think I ever had a clear “type” in games until recently. I just kept going back to the same kind of experience without really thinking about it.

Third person. Melee combat. Big worlds where I can just walk around, fight, explore, and forget about everything else for a while.

That’s how I’ve always played.

I spent around 30 hours in Crimson Desert doing exactly that. Just roaming, fighting, getting lost in the world. I enjoyed it a lot at first. But after a while I realized something felt off. I was playing, but I wasn’t really connected to anything. I didn’t care about the story, didn’t even know what was going on most of the time. It looked great, felt great, but it didn’t stay with me.

Then I went back to Dying Light, and it just felt different. I’m about 40 hours in now, and I didn’t expect to like a first person game this much, but I do. The gameplay is fun, but what surprised me more is that I actually care about what’s happening. I want to keep going, not just because it’s fun, but because I’m involved in it. I’m close to finishing the main story, but I’m taking my time, doing side activities, exploring, just staying in that world a bit longer.

I also finished Skábma: Snowfall recently. It’s a short game, but I liked it enough to leave a review. I really enjoyed learning about Sami culture. And with BioShock Collection in my library, I started realizing something simple. I don’t just want a world to explore anymore. I want a story that pulls me in and keeps me there and forces me to come back as soon as I turn on my PC.

That’s why I’m asking for Resident Evil Requiem.

I’ve always liked the Resident Evil games, but Leon is something else for me. He’s easily one of my favorite characters. There’s just something about him, the way he carries himself, the attitude, even his one liners, that makes everything more interesting.

My birthday is on 8th May. I don’t really do anything on that day. No plans, nothing special. Just another day sitting in my room. But if I could spend that time playing something I actually care about, with a character I’ve always liked, that would honestly mean a lot to me.

As for my situation, I’m currently in between studies. I’ve just completed my bachelor’s degree, and now I’m preparing for a good college for my master’s while also trying to land a good job. And earning while studying here isn’t easy. Most jobs are full time and pay very little, so it’s either study or work, not both. Recently I started teaching a few kids in my free time, and I earn around 1000 to 1500 rupees a month. It’s something, but not enough to buy big games like this.

I usually don’t spend money on myself. I save whatever I can and wait for sales. Over time I’ve slowly started building my Steam library. Before that, I didn’t really have many options. I didn’t grow up with easy access to games, so whenever I did get a chance to play something, I would just lose myself in it completely. That’s probably why I still play like this even now.

This is my first time requesting a game here. I mostly participate in giveaways, and some generous people have helped me out with games I really enjoyed. Apart from that, I just wait and get games later when I can afford them within my budget.

If someone decides to gift it, I won’t let it sit there. I’ll start it immediately and actually go through it properly. I can't keep Leon waiting you know.

Any edition is completely fine, I’d be grateful either way. I usually go for deluxe editions when I can, but I understand that’s not always possible.

I’m from India, so the regional pricing here is lower compared to US or EU or other tier 1 or tier 2 regions, around 50 dollars here. If direct gifting doesn’t work due to region restrictions, a Steam gift card or game key would also work.

Anyway, yeah, that’s me rambling.

Thanks for reading.
