Ready to Buy 2026 Limited RWD

Hi Everyone,

After deliberating over whether to get a used 2024 Limited or a new 2026 Limited, given the current $5,500 incentive, I've decided to go new. I am returning my 2024 SEL lease before October and intend on buying a 2026 Limited RWD. My question to the group is what strategy should I use at the dealership? Find the car in their inventory, email them for an official quote? What has worked for you to get the best price with the least hassle? Have you used a 3rd party service or purchased through Costco or anything like that?

My experience with individual sales people can be hit or miss. I've been straight up lied to to my face by car sales people in the past so I want to get this done in the most efficient manner.

Thanks!

Maximizing Apple Purchase

Hi All,

I'm about to purchase a MacBook Pro and generally would use the CSR shop and earn to get 1 point per $ at Apple since Chase points have the highest value, but I can't shake the feeling that there's a higher value way to make an Apple purchase. Cashbackmonitor.com is the tool I usually use to see the best earnings but I'm asking the community if you have any strategies for making purchases at Apple that offer higher earnings.

Advice on Petitioning for a Refund Due to Death in the Family

Hi All,

A bit of a long story but I wanted to get any advice on this refund request. My dad and his wife booked Polaris tickets last July for travel in October, 2025. In September he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and immediately started chemo and couldn't travel. He had letters from the hospital, oncologist, etc... and submitted the refund form as they were non-refundable tickets (totaling over $9k). United gave him and his wife travel credits but his argument was that there's no way he can use the credit because he can't fly because of his compromised immune system. Sadly, he passed away a few weeks ago. I re-submitted the refund request on his behalf and included his death certificate this time and it was approved.

The issue is his wife was his caregiver over this period of time and she couldn't travel for the duration of his illness and the travel credit expires in July. She submitted a refund request for her ticket and explained she was his caregiver for the last year and couldn't travel. Since the travel credit expires next month she will not have been able to use it. So she submitted another refund request explaining the situation and submitted his death certificate and it was rejected. Is there any recourse here? Any suggestions of what to do?

Thanks!
