Help !! Can't figure out shoulder shrug
I'm trying to make a top with a detachable shoulder piece from Grasser (it's a toile).
The gathering part went ok. Then I stitched the front and back right sides together.
But I'm stuck at steps 8–10. I don't understand where I'm supposed to baste the clear elastic (I've already stitched it on the shoulder side).
And then, and this is the worst part (I literally cried over it yesterday), when I close the garment (step 11):
Before turning, the body openings are there and everything makes sense. But after turning it right side out, they disappear and I’m left with a tube-like shape with only two tiny openings at each end.
What am I doing wrong? What am I missing?
