Sound and Light Broken after 2 years

This post will echo a lot of what I have seen, but I figure I’d add to the mix in case anyone cares. I purchased a Sound & Light for my October 2024 baby.

The Sound and Light has sat on a nightstand, largely untouched, except for an occasional readjusting and dusting. Recently, a wire must have come loose in the LED display for the clock, as I was missing a line in one of the numbers. Not a huge issue, but aesthetically annoying.

I contacted Nanit. My true hope was to get it repaired, even paying to get it fixed; though I’m not naïve enough to believe any company will do that given the throwaway society we live in, but I digress.

Unsurprisingly, they were unwilling to do anything, other than steering me to purchase another Sound and Light. As much as I enjoy the idea of dropping a hundred bucks every couple years on a night light, it is very telling of their product quality when they are completely unwilling to do anything for you after a year.

It was disappointing because I was all but lined up to buy a Nanit monitor for my second. Needless to say, I will not be buying a product from them again, and will be advising my friends and family against purchasing from the brand.

[TOMT] Movie or show with a performance diner

So both my husband and I have seen this within the past 5 years or so.

We are fairly certain it‘s a TV show with no idea what the platform would be.

There was a small subplot where the main character goes to work at a 50’s style performance diner. They meet some love interest and stay there for a bit, avoiding whatever their true calling was.

The diner had a single song that was played and all of the employees had to dance when this song went off. There is some montagey type thing where they are enjoying themselves and having fun, but the daily grind of this song becomes boring and stale and they hate it.

we collectively remember them dancing between tables and stuff. I keep imagining the character dancing with a mop or something.

Neither of us remember this being a very fun/happy show. So not Glee, I’m pretty sure it’s not schmiggadoon either, definitely not Crazy Ex Girlfriend,
