I found A Fool’s Errand on the catalog my pure chance whilst scrolling through last night and have had such a blast playing it this morning over my morning coffee 😍🥳

Got to work a little early as traffic was good, so grabbing a coffee and getting some Saturday Edition game play in. It’s an interesting game so far, but I’m already lost as to what to do hahaha. 🤣

🐟 R1 Buddy Update — Fishing & Memory Game Overhaul

Big update to R1 Buddy today with two of the mini-games getting some serious love.

Fishing Game — Real-Time Redesign

The fishing game has been completely reworked from the ground up. Fish now swim across the screen at random heights and speeds, and you're in full control of the hook — scroll up to raise it, scroll down to lower it. Hook a fish and you reel it in manually, with the fish staying visible on the line as you pull it up. A pier has been added above the water line so there's actual room to reel your catch clear of the water before it counts. Much more satisfying than the old version.

Memory Game — Polish Pass

The memory game got a bunch of quality-of-life fixes. Scroll sensitivity has been tightened up with a 500ms cooldown so over-scrolling no longer tanks your run. Arrow highlight feedback now shows during your input phase so you can actually see what you're pressing. And the scroll direction has been corrected to match natural scroll — up is up, down is down.

Both games now return you to the game menu when they end rather than dropping you back on the home screen.
