Jimothy's Wikipedia image

Hi! Seattlite and Wikipedia editor here.

Jimothy's Wikipedia page is missing a photo!

I would really appreciate if someone with their own photo of Jimothy could reach out so I can add it to Wikipedia!

The image needs to be your own (as in you took it, no one else did, and it's not AI) and it exists right now (don't go take a photo for Wikipedia!)

You'll need to fill out a form making the photo creative commons (Wikipedia, and anyone else, may use the photo). I am happy to walk you through the process :)

Please dm!!

Help sequencing this bass line

I recently watched Manhunter (1986) and became obsessed with the bass line in the soundtrack song Evaporation by Shriekback.

I've been trying to replicate the bass sequence to no avail. Obviously it's a synth, but I even tried replicating the rhythm on an actual bass guitar and it just felt boring compared to how sick it sounds in the song. Any ideas?

Classic simpler loop without zero crossing point

Sorry if I'm using these terms incorrectly.

I have a 30 second sample of continuous noise and I want to loop a 1 second snippet of it. I've tried adjusting the ADSR but either get a click or a loop that's too quiet.

Basically I want to recreate the sample looping at the 3:00 minute mark of this video. How can I replicate this kind of looping?

I've played around with editing the sample itself before throwing it in simpler, and it technically works, but I'm sure there's an easier method I'm missing.

Is Massie's loss a sign that Trump wiggled out of Epstein?

I'm surprised this hasn't been discussed here yet. Massie's primary loss is a clear sign that at least enough of Trump's voters are sticking with him.

In general I feel like the scandal has lost steam, but I'm hoping it's not over.

Has Trump officially wiggled out of it? If not, will he?

Maybe if the midterms actually flip the house there will be renewed energy? No idea...

Edit: to give some more data, ballotopedia shows 51,478 more voters turned out in 2026 (104,071 total) versus his last primarily (52,593 total). It's pretty spooky tbh

Buyer changed address after I shipped, delivery failed

Hi. Trying to get ahead of this before it becomes an issue.

I live a block away from a post office and I'm a fast shipper. I always use Reverb shipping labels.

A buyer purchased something and I shipped it same-day. I've been periodically checking the tracking info and it said "available for pickup" at the post office. I think they attempted a delivery and failed.

I checked the buyer's address and now it's a PO box. The tracking I have is a physical address. I messaged buyer telling them it's at the post office and also I used the address Reverb gave me at purchase. No response.

I checked again and it said they've attempted delivery again and failed. I read that they hold it for 15 days before returning to sender. That gives buyer 5 more days to receive.

  1. What should I do in the mean time?

  2. If it is returned to me, what do I do? Refund?

Could a legal car stop + arrest lead to a legal home search without a warrant?

Hi, I posted a year ago about running a detective-themed TTRPG and needing some legal input. I got some great advice and would like some feedback on a situation my players encountered.

I really like to tell my players when they've made a legal "oopsie" to enforce realism and also use it against them when they make sanity rolls. The more corrupt they are, the harder it is for them to keep it together.

Here is what happened: my players legally arrested a drug dealer. They caught him mid-deal making a sale out of the trunk of his car. Because the drugs were on display in the trunk, they searched the car and found more drugs and an illegal firearm.

Obviously where there's smoke there's fire, and they went to search the dealer's house immediately after. This guy is a distributor and clearly has access to a lot of drugs which may have been in his house, but I'm not sure if they had probable cause to search the home on the arrest alone without a search warrant. They used his house key to enter.

I basically said that they acted in good faith regardless of legality so I didn't penalize them in the moment, but I did say there may be consequences in the future.

Would real police need a search warrant in this instance?

New job. Absent boss. Work piling up. What do?

Hi. I started a new job a month ago. I have worked in this field a long time, but this is the largest organization I’ve worked at. It’s typical office work.

My boss has been basically absent this entire time, either working at different locations or on vacation. I have met with him three times total and he’s been late AND had to leave early each time. I’ve sent him probably a dozen emails and he’s responded to exactly one of those. He is totally overworked in other parts of his leadership duties and I think I’m pretty much the last thing he wants on his plate.

My initial workload was zero. This is not from a lack asking for work. Besides watching basic onboarding videos, I had nothing to do for three weeks. I read a lot of reddit and Wikipedia lol.

Then last week my boss called me into an “emergency meeting” and put me on a cleanup duty for a very time sensitive report. The report is the product of two years of work and over 50 different employees. It’s a complete mess. You can tell it was written with 50 different hands.

I am elated to actually have something to do, but because I’m so new I basically don’t know anything about the content of the report, so I need a ton of clarification on every detail. The only person I can communicate about this to is my boss. He has answered some of my questions, but clearly he is not understanding that this is not a “little detail here and there” situation, but a “we need to have a sit down and iron out all the details” thing. I have a requested a meeting but he has no time before the report is due.

I’ve been thrown to the wolves. Obviously I’m frustrated. How do I communicate that I need support in this situation and that I need our overall communication to improve?

Hi! I have a large dataset of 7-day schedules that I am summing to calculate breaks.

The function is setup like this:

=SUM(IF(CELL1>5, 0.5, 0)), (IF(CELL2>5, 0.5, 0)) and so on until all seven days are tabulated.

Because a full time person would only work 5 days a week, at least 2 days are blank per row, but we're open all 7 days and I want to sum the entire spreadsheet, so I have to count all 7 days. A full time person should have 2.5 hours per week.

For some reason the function is mostly working, but about a third of the results are larger than they should be because it's counting some blank cells as greater than 5. For example, a part time person working only 3 days should have 1.5 break hours, but the function returns 3.5 because it is counting all the blank cells as containing a value > 5.

What's really strange is it is only doing this some of the time. Every row has at least two blank cells, but only about a third of the sums are wrong. I can't figure out why.

The columns are all formatted as a number. The value does update correctly if I manually enter a "0" in the blank cells, but this is a very large dataset and that would take forever.

Thoughts?
