any successful quitting quetiapine (seroquel) stories?

hello. don't want to rant much but all the doctors i saw warned me how hard it is to get off quetiapine when it comes to sleep. my days and nights are ruined and this makes me anxious. i found out about slow tapering from REDDIT not even from my doctor. and i can't afford trying out different doctors bc sadly i am kinda broke. so i guess i just have to figure out this thing myself
anyone has any stories about fixing sleep schedule after quetiapine? how long did it take for your schedule to get back to normal? i have been taking a 25mg fpr 2 years, then 12 mg for 1 month. is there any natural, non-medication method for fixing sleep schedule (except the "use phone less", "walk more", "eat better" and etc)? i don't want to jump from one med dependency to another. please help :(

coming off seroquel. any natural methods?

hi. long story short it seems like doctors that know how quetiapine works are either non-existent in my country or i can't afford them because they are too expensive. no one ever told me that even such a small dose like 25 mg needs a very careful tapering (was prescribed seroquel bc of BPD). now i can't sleep until 4-5 am, which leads to me sleeping throughout the day and being extremely anxious abt it. before this medication i never had a sleeping schedule problem
are there any natural methods that worked for you? i started taking melatonin but i don't want to jump from one medication dependency to another. i don't want to spend my life addicted. did anyone else had a hellish experience with that shitty med? thanks in advance

insomnia after low dose seroquel. is there any hope

hello everyone. i've been prescribed seroquel in 2024 due to BPD. took 25mg for like 2 years. that's a very low dose and yet i somehow developed an awful addiction. last time me and my doctor tried quitting it in april, i suffered insomnia for a month. he said that 25mg is already an extremely low dose, and since i was finishing uni this year, we agreed on starting taking it again, but only a half of 1 pill (about 12,5 mg?), and he said that after my exams stop i can quit it again. in june, after i defended my thesis, i lowered the dose to a quarter (6 mg?). and 3 days ago i stopped taking seroquel completely. and now im almost totally sleepless again, only able to fall asleep at about 3-4am in the morning (and i sleep throughout the day to 12 am).
is it normal to have such a wild insomnia after such a small dose? i've read stories about people suffering from this hellish medication, but their dose is usually much much much higher. does it ever get better? im feeling completely hopeless, my days feel too short. how long did it take for you to quit it? i've also read that ppl get to their normal sleep schedule in like a month which absolutely shattered me (because HOW and WHY is it possible for them but not me!!!). pls sb share your experience im feeling like a total physiological failure

Any suggestion on native Middle Estaern vloggers on yt?

hi everyone. i’m russian and really love the culture of Middle East, been trying to learn the arabic language for quite some time, but understanding language requires knowing the culture. the issue is that it’s like there is no content that documents normal people’s lives there, everything is either connected to politics or is too surface-level knowledge. i have no interest in a specific region, i like all of them. so can anyone suggest any youtube vloggers of Middle Eastern origin that talk about the culture and film the everyday life in english (!!! this is important since i’m only at A1 level of fusha so i won’t understand any actual speech lol). asking specifically for youtubers of the Middle Eastern origin bc i feel like american or european tourists only document the «touristic» side of that region. thank you in advance!

also if there are any blogs like this on tumblr or instagram, i’m interested too!
