CMI 2025 ADMISSION INTAKE FOR THEIR UNDERGRAD PROGRAM

Why was the total undergrad student intake of that year, eyebrow raisingly low? Any insider info as to why that was the case, preferably from the students who were selected that year?

PS
The reason why I'd made this query was because I was under the impression that CMI had drastically increased their cut-offs so as to ensure that only the brightest of the bright could get in. Supposed "GATEKEEPING" perhaps?

I did find the above thread where that it was possibly because a lot of students could've been discouraged by students who'd joined prior to 2025(that's what it seems to me even though no such direct claim of that sort was made), or just got better, lucrative options elsewhere.

So which is it?

NIMCET 2026:ANSWERED & MARKED FOR REVIEW DEBACLE

How does a nation-level entrance exam even change the rule that "answered & marked for review" questions will not be counted for evaluation, "allegedly", and notify that change,"allegedly" just 10 min before the start of the exam in the instructions page of the exam ? I would love to know if this sort of a massive, big deal type of change in evaluation methodology was even notified prior to the exam in any info brochure, notices, etc. be it at nimcet's homepage, email correspondence with candidates, admit card, etc.? Would something like this even be possible for say JEE Mains or any other major exams? All of this seems way too fishy, especially given the current controversies surrounding of NEET, CBSE, etc..

PS
I don't even remember reading anything remotely close to this change in policy at the instructions page just right before the exam began.
