Arturia Microlab Mk3 defective?

Recently nabbed one of these small keyboards, unfortunately I've only been able to get it to work with my phone...will not work on my PC with USB (tried MULTIPLE cables), receives power but that's it. Also tried running it through my USB midi host to hook up to my MC101 and no dice. I'd like to use it for more than just hooking it up to a phone synth...

Anyone else have issues trying to get what should be stupid simple to work or did I just have dumb luck and buy a decorative keyboard that doesn't actually work? Getting pretty frustrated.

Star Fox 64 Roland MC101 Cover - my first thing made after a couple days of owning

Have owned this little box for about a week or so now, and after a couple of days of owning, I felt ready to make my first song on it - the menu theme from Star Fox 64. Enjoy, and do some barrel rolls!

MC101 and Midi Keyboard setup

So got a question regarding the MC101 and keyboard setup - is there a minimalist way of hooking in a small 25 key midi keyboard (Specifically the Arturia Microlab that powers/gets data over USBC) up to the MC101? Or would I still need any other gear to make this happen? My initial thought was trying a USBA to USBC adapter, and then doing the USB-B from the 101 over to USBC on my Microlab. No idea if that would work and I know trying to do USBC midi to my Roland S1 to the Microlab was a no-go.

Ideally, this would be an "on the go" setup and not having to go through my PC and DAW to make this happen. Would be nice to have an extra octave when sequencing notes.

Star Fox 64 Menu Theme - Roland MC-101 Cover, first time using this

Obtained a Roland MC-101 a few days ago and got right into noodling around with it, with zero clue how to use this thing. Haven't logged a bunch of hours on it yet, maybe a couple hours today when I cranked this track out. With the recent surprise news about the new Star Fox re-remake coming up, I felt it was fitting to make this iconic theme my first piece to make. Mix of melody, chords, bass. Pretty happy with how it came out as I learn my way around step sequencers and despite the device's limitations, I have so far made it work for my needs. Not sure if there's a more dedicated place to share this outside of here.

Decided to update the family photo with the just obtained Cold Fusion GT and recently obtained Turbo Confusion.

Each one of these pieces plays differently, the ProFly (ProYo GT) being the lightest, and the CFGT being the heaviest. The OG confusion and Turbo Confusion (with stacks) sit about in the middle while the unstacked Turbo and Bee feel similar to each other and sit between the Fly and OG Confusion. The Little Confusion's its own breed, I now feel the urge to track down an Ace II, it's distant cousin :)

The CFGT's pretty nice! On the heavier side but still pretty capable 0a player.

Just got these lovely throws today, and are quite the throwback. I own an original Confusion from 2018 as well as the Little Confusion. This latest update to the Confusion brings us the familiar retro cork pads from the 90s. Without the stacks, the yoyo feels very much like an aluminum Bumble Bee GT. With stacks, there's a tiny bit more heft (close to 57 grams with the stacks). Great 0a rippers! Even throwing in a bearing blank yields some fun results 😄
