Any tips for dealing with non-compliant high activity individuals (I.e. athletes)?

Any tips for dealing with noncompliant patients? I'm talking about the ones who come in and complain for an hour about their symptoms, rush back to activity, and have a super high cancel rate. Do you just bang your head against a wall, note whatever education you can fit in, and move on, Until you do the same thing day over day, and quit the profession?

How do you stay in outpatient? (Social burnout tips)

I really like working OP. I like the case variety, the somewhat flexibility, I have a great schedule, and I really don't mind seeing 15+ per day.

I can't fucking stand talking to every bill, Martha, and Mary about their daily lives. I don't mind a few mins of small talk at the start of the session, but there's no way I can make conversation for an hour about someone's dog and grandkids for the rest of my career. I can't even have a full conversation until partway through the weekend at this point

I've found a few good tips so far. Positioning 10+ feet away or just out of line of sight during exercises. Closing my PC and spending 5 good, true mins building rapport at the start of the session. Taking a full lunch away from everyone. Having a student even helps a little.

Anyone have any other good, practical tips?

Do I need Kilz before repainting concrete basement walls?

Do I need Kilz before repainting concrete basement walls?

I'm about to repaint some concrete basement walls. They have a fair amount of paint damage and previous water damage. I think they kind of smell like cat piss too.

I've power washed them to prep them. Can I just throw another coat of paint over it and hope the piss smell gets covered up, or do I need to put kilz on first?

Any tips on setting up a new garage?

TLDR any good tips on setting up a new garage+basement area?

I'm about to move into a place with a 1000ish sq foot garage. I'm moving from somewhere that I've FAR outgrown.

New garage has one main garage door, HVAC near the middle and washer/dryer setup near the east side, with a set of stairs on the east wall.

My new garage needs to fit a squat rack/bench/ x2 a-frame plate holders. A Mazda Miata. LOTS of woodworking tools and a decent amount of auto tools. A lot of my tools roll or are modular which helps.

This winter I'll move the washer/dryer out and build a bathroom down there.

Any tips overall?

Sizings of workbenches, spacing, setup, etc?

This sub has had some BANGERS lately

Just gotta say, this sub has had some BANGERS this month. The post about more data being stored on smaller drives, the one about energy density in batteries, and the dark horse abrams tank one recently? Chefs kiss. Good shit lately.

The hardest part of this job is getting people to follow the SIMPLEST social rules

It's insane. People that are entirely normal, AOx4, drove themselves to the clinic today come in and act like actual children. You wait until your turn, and don't just walk directly in and do whatever you want. You show up somewhere near your appointment time. I feel like 85% of my job is babysitting, and 15% of what I do is providing actual clinical care.

We need a "Berto from the West Side" right now.

I mean, this is insane. You have players that come out and play like superstars in the WBC, come back home to our pitiful coaching staff and basically look like they have a tee ball level experience. Our fan base just takes this, too, because "this is how it's always been", "good old royals", and "need yost was hated until he won". We need more fan outrage, this is insane.
