The seller is saying he hasn’t opened the box yet, is it normal to show this on the coverage website on unopened products?

Hi everyone so i bought the APP3 from a reseller in Thane. Everything looked fine except the fact that i could not see its location in find my as someone else had connected to it.

I told this to the shop owner and he told me that he will sort this problem out with the person who originally sold these airpods to him.
I told him if the issue persists i would want a refund of the entire amount and he agreed.
Did i make the right choice? and also are they genuine?

Is there a way i can disconnect it from its originally paired iPhone?

The guy said it came with his iPhone 17 Pro as a complimentary gift from the Chroma store. Are they actually running deals like that?

He also said he purchased it a week ago, but the Apple coverage information says something else. However, the charging cable looks legit, so I’m really confused.
