Which type of Spanish should I learn for South America?

Hi, I don’t know if it’s a dumb question but I’m learning Spanish for a while and just noticed there are differences between regions.
I’m planning to travel to South America and I wonder which one I should focus on.
Now I learn the one where you say carro for car.

Edit: I’m currently learning through apps. The only options I have is Spanish Spanish or Mexican Spanish

Looking for opinions about alternating between the books and movies

Hi, I wanted my little brother to start reading books so I brought him the philosophers stone as an introduction to reading in general and fantasy books specifically.
He’s currently in the middle of the book and he loves it, so I was thinking about watching together the movie that the book is based on, and continue as he finishes more books until we reach the end.

I never watched the movies so I don’t really know if that’s a good idea (in general id rather not watch the adaptations of the books I read, but I think it’ll be quite a nice experience with my little guy)

Any thoughts? Thanks in advance

Do you read other genres as much as fantasy?

I remember reading my first fantasy book. I was so impressed that I shifted my type completely and went on to read only fantasy books ( and occasionally sci-fi) for the rest 6-7 years up until now.

Obviously it’s subjective, and there are good and bad authors, but I really believe that fantasy is one of the best genres there are.
For me, it has to do something with the unique world. I’m just a sucker for an interesting lore and they deliver every time.

Just wanted to know if u had a similar journey while reading

Is South America vegan friendly?

I’m planing on travelling there for a few months and I want to prepare food wise. Brazil, Argentina, Colombia and Chile mostly.
Is there an awareness to veganism there? Meaning I can just ask for a vegan meal and they’ll understand me.
