Somehow managed to hit 10 lands in a row with [[Black Widow, Super Spy]] on turn 2. I did not even realize the cards were gone forever until that happened. Idk if they could have won drawing ten lands in a row but still...

Calculator says it's a 0.01% chance assuming they have 15 lands left in the deck, pretty brutal. Guess I don't get to complain about bad luck for a bit. Sorry oppo.

Sorry I didn't deliver the 0-3. Thought the deck was good just got my teeth kicked in by some strong green decks. Green seems to be the aggro color. Some misplays but not sure it would have mattered. Probably did have a suboptimal build at first trying to go Wur but changed it for the Doombots.

Simic Beats Trophy

My draft started [[Earth's Mightiest Heroes]] into [[Absorbing Man]] into [[Epic Fight]] so I kind of wanted to be in green which was pretty open. Blue wasn't super open but I'm not really sure what else I even want from blue in this deck. I guess another Quench or a [[Trickster's Stratagem]] would have been fine. Another Skrull would have been nice.

Decided the simic two drop options felt mopey and got me some one drops instead. Cycling is technically a two drop so I had at least 7 things to do in the first couple turns which felt fine. Started a few games on 3 but the deck was really top heavy obviously and felt like variance was a little on my side most of the games.

Did win two games off the EMH. [[Mole Man, Monster Within]] was a little out of place but did do some work all around getting teamwork up, hitting lands, and baiting removal. [[Ant-Man, Colony Commander]] wasn't that great but often ate removal. [[Beast, Eurdite Aerialist]] actually did some work even though I was worried I didn't have enough support for him. No complaints about any of my uncommons really they all worked well together. [[Super Strength]] surprisingly kind of glued this thing together at some weird times.

Roflbros part 2

OG meme before my eyes were opened(this line actually happened to me twice in two days)

Receipts

Deck. Still rough around the edges. Ignore the Passage, I had seek nonbasic before but that's gone now.

Meme repost since I didn't put enough effort...or maybe it was considered a rant...idk nobody said why. Well guess what it's not a rant now because I made my own Roflbro deck and it seems pretty good! MUAHAHA! I will say two of those wins were to a "DC" and a turn 0 concede. Too much aura.

Questions, comments, concerns?

Any other Roflbros that have tried it in ranked before? I usually play Raffine and Kefka. Might add this to the rotation but doesn't seem like it gets much from the unbanned cards. Chrome Mox is decent I guess.

I have a lot of questions

Sorry in advance for the wall of text. I've tried searching for some stuff like this but I see numbers all over the place in different formats (grams, tbsp, ml, cups, shells, etc.), different prep methods, different consumption frequencies, rewashing, etc. Plus they never really address things like height and weight which idk if it matters but seems like it would.

So background, I tried Kava Vinaka Lawena (and have their 75 micron strainer) like two years ago and went through 1/2 lb over maybe 5-6 separate sessions while not feeling much. Did manage to feel a little euphoric one time for a bit, but I don't remember what I was doing dose wise. I know I was pretty much upping it every time. Pretty sure the time it worked to some extent I was also on a completely empty stomach, hadn't ate all day, and it was in the middle of the bag so not the last session. Got into using the blender for prep. Never really had any negative side effects.

Right now I have some Fiji Vanua Kava Vanuatu. I tried some with 3 tbsp powder(15g per the label) in 500 ml warm water with 1 tsp avocado oil, blended for ~5 min on low/med speed. Strained it(is this now one shell?). Drank like 1/4 of it right away and the rest about 15 minutes later. Throat and mouth were numb(more so than the other one and taste is stronger from what I remember) but didn't feel much else. Slightly relaxed like a single beer but nothing extreme. Had ate about four hours before. Repeated that dose about 1.5 hours later and it did seem a bit stronger but still nothing crazy. So I repeated it again like 30 minutes after that and it definitely worked, little euphoria kinda like a crossfade, chatty, not a ton of physical effects though mostly mental but was a little wobbly for like 15 minutes, pretty pleasant, but then I felt like absolute trash the next day.

For reference I'm pretty big, 6'2" and 280lbs. I used to drink a lot of booze(four years out from that now) and I've done a lot of other recreational things, and historically have a normal or even lower than normal tolerance for things the first time I try them so this stuff has me perplexed.

Do I need to change the dosage/frequency? Don't really want to do it everyday tbh(worried about my liver, skin, and bank account lmao) so was hoping there was a way to experience it without the reverse tolerance being a factor but maybe not.

Are there other things besides eating that can increase/decrease the effects(like caffeine, nicotine, vitamins, etc.)? I don't take any medication.

Did I just do too much? Is the "full effect" I found from expecting too much or is it really that much of a fine line between feeling it and getting sick? I didn't really feel sick the night of, but when I woke up it was just an all day thing, basically a hangover and my stomach was messed up too.

Just looking for some tips so I don't feel like I wasted this bag. I don't have any bars or experienced users around me to ask.

Thanks!

How all in are you building this?

I have an opportunity to just go all in on the aggro plan with a crazy stack of rage/bulk and all the prowess kin. That deck is more or less on the left of the lands. Other options, which aren't terrible and could just move the deck into bigger izzet, are on the right. Curious what others think.

Also just looking for the last few cards in the aggro version. Assuming I have to get the Painter in. Does Splatter play? Seems risky.

I've been noticing my issue in SOS drafts since the set dropped and talking about it in some comments, but I figured I would make an actual post with some data and see other peoples' experiences with this problem.

So my original observation was that the two color decks all have high ceilings but that it may be difficult to actually draft those versions of the decks and early data is starting to back that up. Basically if we assume that all the 2 color decks *can* perform well then we can try to look at the data and see if/why that isn't happening. Here is a shameless data delve copy pasta from my notes app:

All Players Deck Winrates 54% or greater(rounded and ignoring 5c)

Non-White 54%

Non-Black 55%

Jeskai 55%

Izzet 54%

Golgari 54%

Orzhov 57%

Boros 58%

Simic 55%

Color demand: U >= R > G >= W > B

Top Players Winrates 58% or greater(rounded and ignoring 5c)

Non-White 60%

Non-Black 63%

Jeskai 61%

Sultai 60%

Temur 59%

Izzet 60%

Golgari 58%

Orzhov 62%

Boros 63%

Simic 59%

Color Demand: U > R >= G > W >= B

As we can see from both samples the streamlined versions of simic, golgari, and izzet all seem to be suffering from the overwhelming demand of the temur colors.

Now I thought this would correct with boros and orzhov doing so well(maybe more people would try to draft in mardu wedge) but it hasn't seemed to balance out much.

My question is how do you navigate a draft format like this?

I feel like I never even want to speculate on golgari because it doesn't seem like a table can support more than one good deck purely in those colors; its too hard to tell if it's actually open or the packs are lopsided; the backup plan is terrible. So I'm only even trying it if I get a bomb, and half of the bombs I'm already thinking if they just work in soup or sultai.

I feel the same way to a lesser degree about simic but there is at least the more solid backup plan of soup or sultai/temur. However, this lane is often highly contested.

Izzet again you have backup of soup and temur/jeskai, but again contested.

Mardu wedge signals are often the only thing I feel safe reading and even that sometimes gets contested.

Feels like you get punished for drafting on rails. Conversely, people staying open feels like it punishes most of the table, which was a thing sometimes in ECL too but I didn't really notice it much outside of the LCQ tables. Am I just bad at drafting or are other people having trouble with these drafts? Lmao.
