(Kinda) vulnerable post - I’m in the middle of applying for affordable housing through OCHT as my mental health is struggling in my current living situation. Honestly I’ve been struggling a long time and I struggle with flatmates in general. I’m pushing 30, single and have no prospect of getting my own place without some help.

Just a few questions - has anyone been through this process? How did it go for you? What sort of rent prices have you had? Have you been offered apartments or granny flat type dwellings?

I’m happy with anything, I’m just trying to gauge what to expect as I don’t know anyone who has been through this. Any advice is appreciated xx

For some reason seeing this rubbed me the wrong way. I feel like this isn’t the way to make our roads safer. This isn’t even the first step. First step is NZ police doing their job- not RBTs but actually pulling over shit/speeding/texting while driving etc. Second is making people follow road rules and ENFORCE it. Stop sign posted and didn’t stop? There’s a camera there to catch it. Hit ‘em with a fine big enough to change their attitude.

It’s not just people getting hit its animals as well. I know it’s a different issue but I’m sick of seeing posts on Facebook of dead cats. Make roads safer for ALL living beings.

I’d like to put forward a petition to parliament re banning of backyard breeders. Looking on their website there is nothing currently listed.

Is this something that will get looked at if I start or is it something that I shouldn’t even try?
