Pulled the trigger on it

It works well but a bit dirty, I'm going to clean it and give it a full overhaul. I bought it because it was a good deal but I honestly can't see myself using it, I think I might try to find someone that wants to trade me for a table lighter... Regardless it's a stunning piece!

Is this a good deal for 430$?

It's got some signs of use/wear and no box or papers. Apparently it does work but it doesn't really matter as I can give it an overhaul myself

For reference I am finishing my 4th year of undergrad in Canada and am applying for MEXT scholarship for a master's in biology (also I have my N1). Due to taking a more difficult program for university, my grades were quite low during my first 2 years of my program but greatly improved during my last 2 years where I was pretty much only getting 80s and 90s with a few high 70s. Unfortunately it seems that it may not have been enough. Using online charts to calculate my GPA for MEXT my last 2 years give me a gpa well above the requirement of 2.3, however if I calculate all 4 years, I am just below at 2.275. However, my official transcript from my university also has letter grades ( in this case A+, A, A- etc...), which likely due to the difficulty of the program considers 60-69% to be C- to C+ respectively. Going by letter grades, my MEXT gpa is around 2.8 according to the official calculation method.

I'm wondering which grading scheme will be chosen (I know you people have no way of knowing but maybe someone had a similar situation in the past..?) and if I'm likely to pass the document screening given my situation (also no way of knowing but opinions are welcome).

For reference again if it helps, I took a lot of research-oriented courses in my last years and did very well, and my proposal can really only be done at a Japanese university and has major economic implications for both Japan and my home country. Cheers.
