I went grocery shopping and I went to go find some cheez its. There was a girl stocking some other things nearby and her cart of items were blocking the cheez its. She saw that I was trying to look at them, and she asked if she was in the way and I politely was like yeah. She moved the cart so I could see them and she started stocking other items right next to the cheez its. I thought she looked cute, so I started to chat with her. Got her name and honestly, I couldn't figure out what flavor of cheez its I wanted so I asked her if she liked cheez its and she did so I asked her if she would pick a flavor for me. She did.

Everything went smooth honestly. I didn't feel awkward and she didn't seem like it felt awkward to her. It felt genuine. I was still not confident enough to ask for her number. So I said alright *insert her name* thank you for helping me and have a great rest of your day. She told me I would need to let her know how the cheez its she picked out for me tasted.

I thought maybe that was a way of her wanting me to get her number possibly? I mean I have no idea if I will ever see her again so how would I tell her? When I made my way to the checkout I almost went back to go ask for her number but I cold feet and didn't. That was 3 weeks ago.

I thought about it a little and told myself I should have asked for her number. So, some time goes by. Told myself if I happen to see her again that I would. Beginning of this week I went to go get some groceries. Ended up seeing her again. For a moment I got cold feet but went up to her anyways and she saw me walking to her and she started smiling. I said yo whats up *insert her name* and made some small talk.

Alright listen, I still didn't ask for her number because I guess I chickened out again hahaha. That being said alright. She said she needed to go because she has other stores to go to for stocking. I said alright have good rest of your day and as we both were leaving, she also said something to me, honestly though, I couldn't hear what she was saying but either something like until we meet again or see you around. As she was saying that with both of us making eye contact, she winked at me with her left eye.

Honestly, I was bit taken aback because a girl who keep in mind, we don't know each other, gave me this wink while saying something about meeting again. To me it felt and seemed like a flirtatious wink. That is how I took it. In my mind she was giving me the ok to get her number right? Fast forward 2 days later.

So today I decided to go to the store to see if I would see her because I have 0 idea if I will see her or not because she doesn't work at this particular store rather, she works for a different company stocking their products at various locations. I'm about making things happen and I didn't want to wait or pass up on a potential opportunity. So, I went and fortunately or unfortunately, depending how you see it. I find out that she has a boyfriend and kids... and is 7 years older than me. LOL

Honestly, I'm not disappointed or anything and think it's actually funny but I am confused because I honestly thought that she was flirting with me with the interactions we had. Especially with her winking at me.

Guys do I just suck lol? Not being able to tell the difference between flirting or being friendly... I guess? Seriously how was that not flirting on her part??? HELP ME UNDERSTAND!

At no point did she seem to not enjoy talking with me. Her body language was open. She smiled and got red in the face when we chatted. I thought for sure she was flirting with me and wanting me to get her number. I guess I was very wrong lol.

Anyways. She told me that I was brave for asking her. Oh well... lol
