Heard this during TheInkTank's full summary of the series timeline and wanted to do something with it
I realized that Loveless sounds like Lovelace, which got me thinking.
Ada Lovelace (Augusta Ada King, Countess of Lovelace) was a mathematician born in the 19th Century. She collaborated with Charles Babbage on a proposed machine called the analytical engine; it was never built, but the design for it has been recognized as a functional computer. Notably, Lovelace wrote what is considered the first computer program, making her the first programmer.
She also came up with a thought experiment that would become known as the Lovelace Test. Basically, if a program could output something that its original creators cannot explain, it would constitute as a true artificial intelligence.
So we have Loveless, a hacker, with a digital virus in her head. Feels like there's connections between her and Lovelace, and I just think that's awesome.
