The core rules are being changed to make melee armies more viable, huge win in my book even if fast shooting is still better. It feels amazing that the Killy more elite focused army can win the game by functioning how a Killy elite army should, and gets similar opportunities as a higher model count shooty army. Even if they aren’t perfect changes it’s a great step in the right direction.
The points changes didn’t completely screw us, I think GW has finally learned that they need to stop reflexively breaking our kneecaps almost every dataslate (knock on wood pls GW god please).
Our detachments could defo have been handled better but outside of that it seems like it’ll be a good edition.
I’m playing one of my friends soon who recently started a salamanders army. A quite meta salamanders army (he’s a really good competitive player lol). Issue is I play world eaters and need to get within flamer/overwatch range to do any meaningful damage to his army and win. One infernus overwatch into a singular berserker squad and my list will be crippled, even if I completely swarm him with a go turn of overwatch choices I’m still pretty cooked.
I don’t even want to win necessarily I just want any advice at all so that I’m not just wiped by top of turn 3 and actually get the opportunity to play the damn game lol.
I know none of the world eaters or khorne entities are big on words, but are they capable of it or are they just big demon go vroom-skitter?
