After a week, my char is still at half strength (4) and unable to even wear full armor due to carrying capacity being reduced to 64 lb. And unlike a real cold, the condition seems to be all or nothing, with no gradual progression or alleviation of symptoms. There's also no treatment; cough syrup only stops the coughing. Shouldn't there at least be some way to temporarily restore your stats? Annoying the player seems to be the only purpose for this game mechanic. What's next, cancer?

Edit: I stand corrected, cough syrup does undo the debuffs except maybe 1 point of strength.

Is the broth really that much better than or different from cheap Top/Maruchan ramen? It's just soup powder, and the ingredients all probably come from the same factory. Anyone managed to get a passably similar imitation by adding red pepper flakes or whatever?

Had screen tearing in lxqt so I tried kde, which then introduced massive audio latency. Uninstalled kde and reinstalled lxqt and a compositor (picom) which fixed the tearing, but the audio glitches and xruns remained (a horror situation because I do audio production). Then I realized kde had installed pipewire (another issue I'm well familiar with), which I uninstalled but it still didn't fix the audio. Finally tried changing the setting in picom from glx to xrender which worked!

Now the only remaining issue is that with dark theme, my file manager is also dark. For the life of me, can't figure out which theme I had before that was dark but the file manager was light.

Can I just take them out with night vision and a rifle?

First military barracks at FEMA camp had 3 romance novels and a teddy bear astutely noted in the item description as "wearing no pants." A commentary or a prophecy? One can only wonder how an armed forces exuding such strength and manliness managed to be defeated.

Two ferals rushing at me side by side. No problem I said as I pulled out my 15 round bullpup shotgun and took a nice long manual aim... which was soon interrupted by a rock to my torso. I soon found it impossible to get off a shot because there were two of them continually throwing rocks. After multiple hits to my unprotected torso which took me down to one bar (without me even noticing) I started firing point blank and managed to kill them. Only then I remembered the riot armor I had just picked up but left in the trunk because it was filthy. Just another error riddled shitshow that leaves a bad taste in your mouth even when you survive it.
