A strange incident happened to me.
I have never believed in ghosts or scary stories, nor have I ever seen a ghost, but a rather strange incident happened to me yesterday—this story is absolutely true; it occurred just yesterday. So, let me begin: I am a 19-year-old student living in a village with my family, and we do some farming as well. We had recently planted a rice crop, and yesterday, fertilizer needed to be applied. I also had to fetch some supplies from the field where the fertilizer was to be used. It was around noon; usually, people return home from the fields at that time due to the heat, so the area was completely deserted and quiet, with only a light breeze blowing. Because the path ahead was in poor condition, I parked my motorbike three fields away from my own (about 700 meters back). The heat was intense. I needed to retrieve some weedicide from the field. As I started walking forward, two crows flew in and suddenly began cawing loudly; I noticed they had perched on the overhead electric wires. As I moved towards my field, they kept pace with me, continuing to caw. I reached my field and picked up the weedicide, but then I spotted a weed plant. Just as I reached down to pull it out, a broken piece of glass lying in the water below cut my hand; the wound was deep, and I started bleeding profusely. I decided to go to the handpump to wash the wound thoroughly—it was extremely painful, and I had lost a lot of blood—and on top of that, the crows were still... They were cawing loudly; as soon as I started walking, black dots appeared before my eyes, and I couldn't plant my feet firmly on the ground. After walking a short distance, darkness clouded my vision—my eyes were open, yet I couldn't see a thing, and I felt utterly exhausted. There was no one in the fields except for those two crows and me. I lay down right there for a while. After resting, I felt I should get moving again; my bike was about 300 meters away. As I walked, darkness engulfed my vision once more, all while the crows kept cawing incessantly. Somehow, I managed to reach my motorbike. A little later, my uncle arrived and took me home. I had felt a strange unease there from the very beginning. After I returned, my father went to the fields at 3:00 PM to spread fertilizer. By 7:00 PM, he still hadn't returned; a phone call revealed that he had been admitted to the hospital. The doctor explained that he had come into contact with a weedicide, causing toxicity, but assured us there was no cause for alarm and that he would recover soon. We returned home from the hospital at 9:00 PM. My father then told me that two crows had been following him and cawing loudly; when the toxicity took hold, his vision had gone dark, and he couldn't hear a thing. Hearing this terrified me, as the exact same thing had happened to me. My father is completely fine now, though I have a slight fever. Yesterday, I dismissed it as a mere coincidence—nothing more—but today, when I went to the fields, I found those two crows lying dead on the ground. The sight frightened me deeply; I buried them and came home. This is the first time I have ever experienced something like this. Was it a coincidence? What did it mean? And what was the connection with those two crows?
