Wall framing question

Back again to ask another question about uncobbling my house. Found there used to be an opening in this wall and it now has a poorly done header left behind with strange stud spacing.

I would like to correct this and make it normal with normal stud spacing. My tentative plan is to cut away chunks of the header slowly and replace the short studs with full length studs as I do this at the proper spacing.

The bottom plate is currently in three chunks. I'd rather not remove the entire wall to fix this (it's load bearing). Do I need to worry about this being three separate boards? Do I need to do anything like option 1 or 2 here to correct?

Appreciate the help!

Interior Wall Header / Framing Question

Load bearing wall on the first floor of a two story home. Opened this wall up to try to change the electrical box shown here from a 2 gang to a 3 gang amongst other things in the wall. Found what I see in the picture.

As I understand it, the king stud should be directly against the jack stud (under drywall on the corner). Instead the header overhangs the jack stud and there's a gap between the jack stud and king stud.

How should I approach this? The current position of the king stud is in the way of a 3 gang box.

Shorten the header so the king stud can move directly next to the jack stud?

Move the king stud further to the right (so a 3 gang box will fit) and put a spacer between the end of the header and the king stud? Maybe double up the jack stud too? Add blocking between the jack stud and king stud? (Assuming all of this isn't ideal)

Appreciate any suggestions!

2011 Noise when AC on

2011 Fit. Makes this noise when the AC is engaged. Silent when the AC is off. Does this sound like a bad compressor or possibly just the clutch/bearing?
