I wanted every page to look like this, not just one app

I kept seeing glass designs and wishing the whole web looked that way, not just one app on a phone.

So I built it to work on any site, not on a list of sites. It reads the styling a page already ships with and rewrites it, so the panels, buttons and boxes turn translucent and blurred over your wallpaper - including on sites I have never seen and never will.

It only steps in when a page is plain white, grey or black. Sites that already have their own design are left alone on purpose.

Screenshots are Google and reddit feel free to try on other sites as well.. i personally cant try every site so far experience is good for me if u find anything annoying or bothering please go ahead and report it in extension

Made a thing that puts your own wallpaper behind plain white websites

You can theme your browser and every page inside it is still a white box.

This puts your wallpaper behind the page - your photo, a video, or a built-in animated one. It only kicks in on plain white, grey or black pages. Anything with its own design is left alone.

Someone told me a background would be distracting, which is fair. So there is a frosted glass mode that makes panels see-through and blurred so text stays readable, a dim slider, and a per-site off switch.

Thought this was a weekend project. Puts your own wallpaper behind every website

Got sick of every website being plain white, so I made something that puts my wallpaper behind them instead. Photo or video, and it skips sites that already look good.

Wallpaper part took a day. Then I realised you can't read a single thing with a photo back there. Looked amazing, totally useless.

So everything since has gone into fixing that. All the boxes and menus on the page go frosted and see-through, wallpaper comes through behind, words still readable. Plus sliders, because a dark photo and a bright photo need completely different settings.

Rewrote the whole thing twice. Still just me on it.

If it looks bad on a site you use, hit the report button in the extension and I'll fix it.

Every website is white and boring so I made a thing that puts your own wallpaper behind them

Your desktop looks nice. Your phone looks nice. Then you open your browser and it's a white box all day.

So I made Wallpaperify. It puts your wallpaper behind the websites you visit - your own photo, or a video if you want it moving, or one of the two moving ones already built in. Sites that already look colourful get left alone, it only fills in the boring plain ones.

The good bit is the glass mode. All the boxes and buttons on the page go see-through and blurry, so your wallpaper shows through but you can still read everything. Sliders to make it however you like. And you can set it different for every site, or switch it off on the ones you don't want.

If it looks off on any site, there's a report button right inside the extension - send it and I'll fix it. That's the stuff I can't find on my own.
