Pickleball Beginners

Hi everyone, my mom and I are looking to get into pickleball together in September preferably in or close to Burnaby heights. Where is the best place to start? I couldn't find any beginner classes in Burnaby, is it best to start with a coach then join a beginner league? Grateful for any tips or info! Thanks
