Hello, CSPS! Over the past few weeks or so there’s been an increase in pretty obvious spite matchups in this subreddit. For those who aren’t aware, a “spite matchup” is a matchup that is grossly unfair to one side, to where there’s little (if any) difficulty from either side.

We’ve had members of the community reach out and voice their displeasure with these posts, so in light of that, we’re introducing a new rule to hopefully combat the spread of these sorts of things.

Starting from now, we’ll regularly be enforcing Rule 7, that is to say, no more of these match ups. We’ll be relying on your intuition to not only identify what constitutes a spite match up, but to also report them as they come about.

We hope this measure will help address this issue in turn, and we’re thrilled to hear about whatever feedback you may have.
